I really enjoyed(after initial embarrassment) practicing my novice Spanish language skills during my visit recently, and although I built confidence, I also confirmed I need to accelerate my learning before I return. I found a list of 5000 most used words and this seemed like a sensible approach and I am also trying Qroo. Does anyone have suggestions for apps to try? Duolingo (level 15) was a good start, but I will need more…. Thanks!

I’m thrilled to share a short video observing the active entrance of a wild bee colony here in Paraguay — likely the beautiful Tetragonisca angustula, known locally as Yateí. These tiny but mighty pollinators are vital to our ecosystem. They nest in tree cavities or roots, produce delicious medicinal honey, and are completely stingless!
