NETWORKING NIGGLES... What are yours?
Who has a love-hate relationship with networking? You know you need to do it but you may not enjoy it. Do you ever feel different? Like you don't really belong? How do you feel about breakout rooms, Fun? Or a waste of time... Have you ever made solid connections from networking? If networking could do what it says on the tin, what would that look like for you??

I've felt more comfortable attending events geared to my specific industry, i.e. music, rather than a general event for people from different industries. It feels more natural for me to start conversations in that scenario. My experience is that it's more of a slow burn with a few people contacting me months sometimes years down the line rather than a quick way to get lots of clients.

Via my membership of the Musicians Union (which I need to make more of), a couple of music related mailing lists, performing at open mics and word of mouth.
MARCH EMPOWERED DESKTOP CALENDAR IS HERE!!!!
After storms raging in the skies and on land in the towers and the hearts of power-hungry men, we are all so grateful for this new energy of growth and the balm it can lend to our new projects and rituals. This calendar - part of a private collection of AI fine art - I have tweaked to glow with chlorophyl vibrancy and potent mantra words that evoke the innate nature of spring. The colours are also reflected in the next magazine cover! Exclusive to members only - help yourself ladies https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WJorp8pVpb3enHimBVPru99aGm6rEEeC/view?usp=sharing

It is beautiful, thank you.
EVIDENCE IS EVERYTHING the art of moving the needle on your results.
The three opening principles may be all you need for this tracker to be effective. Let's take principle 1 - Seeing the Evidence. This is based on the premise that if you want a different results experience, you must begin to believe and perceive differently than you have up to this point. This is ancient wisdom and modern neurobiology all in one. Since we are wired with a negative bias, this can be a tricky one to ground in as natural. And of course, practice makes perfect. Ritual is everything here - sitting down at some point of the day (the end is best) and simply asking the question "What are 3 - 10 pieces of evidence that my goal/vision/desire is already done/accomplished/fulfilled?" Doing this daily is super powerful, and I admit, I fall off the wagon easily with this one because I'm a seasoned self-critic. But I know the power of consistency is everything. You get in life what you believe you can have — not necessarily what you want. So grounding this in with tracking, planning and awareness is a game-changer. What is your personal variation of the question or way of 'seeing the evidence'?

This is real food for thought for me as I am quite checklist oriented and this can be disheartening at times. I will review the tracker based on your questions. Thank you.
Recalibrating
Hi everyone - I'm recalibrating in a big way right now. It's something I've been promising myself for a long time but this is really decision time. I've spent years, decades even, accomodating other people and trying to fit in with what they want, including in my business as a vocal coach. Today I sent an email to a prospective client to say that I couldn't provide my services to her at the price she was asking as my prices need to reflect the level of work and support I'm offering. I felt bad as I knew the story behind why she had left singing, and why she was coming back, and I REALLY want to support her. But unless I start being less accommodating I won't be able to support myself. Can anyone else relate? I'm also reviewing how I present myself everywhere, and being honest about the type of client I have been attracting (bargain-hunters) as vs the type of client I want to attract (women who view their voice as an asset to invest in). I love Jenni's article about the monochrome palette and will be incorporating that into my branding, as well as looking at the language I use. Looking forward to continuing this journey in the FRC community.

Feeling Fabulous
This is me on my wedding day in July 2007 - I married at the age of 47. I have never felt so fabulous in my designer bodice and fish tail skirt with train. My best friend Hazel walked with me down a magnificent staircase where my stunned husband to be was waiting. It occurs to me that I have never felt like this since. It's time to do something about that!

You look absolutely amazing - I smiled when you said your husband looked stunned😄 And you're right - you deserve to feel like that every day.
