I have been a salsa lover for my entire life. I was born in Lima, Peru but have been living in Bilbao, Spain since 1975. Started salsa classes 18 years ago and have been fighting cancer for the last 3 years. Dancing keeps me sane mentally , helps me to stay in form physically and keeps me stable and happy emotionally so I am never going to stop dancing! Due to cancer I have had to slow down and I have had to stop classes for periods of time but as soon as I get better I go back to dancing. Dancing obliges me to live in the present moment and all the worries of life don’t exist in the present moment . This is the best therapy I know of. I think I am in an intermediate/advanced stage though l also have had to slow down and interrupt lessons due to surgeries and now chemotherapy. Honestly, all I want is to continue dancing!!!
