NEW INSTAGRAM UPDATE
Instagram just launched a mind-blowing feature called 'Channels' that takes advantage of the app's trend towards more private messaging. This group messaging function allows you to keep up to date with specific topics, brands, and people, among others. While time spent on Facebook and Instagram is on the rise, unfortunately, the creation and engagement rates are declining. Not as many people are posting personal updates as they used to. Here's how it works: once you join a channel, it gets added to your IG Direct chat list. From there, you can read and react to messages posted in the chat, but you can't post anything yourself to the chat feed. It's a smart move by Instagram, which is catering to the shift towards more private messaging within the app. Most users now engage in private messages rather than posting to Stories or their main feed. So, my question to you is - are you finding yourself engaging more in private messages, or through Stories and your main feed? Let me know in the comments below!

Whats the "best" time to post on social media. And you know what? I think it's all relative to your audience and how often you're posting. But listen up, ive been sitting on a graph that compiles the best times to post on all the major social platforms. So save that bad boy, review your analytics, and see if it lines up. Then, test it out for 14-30 days and reevaluate. And never forget, consistency is the holy grail. Don't leave your followers hanging, or they'll move on to someone else who's more present. Keep Grinding!!! let me know your thoughts in the comment section.

Does Album Sequencing Still Matter In the Streaming Era?
"Although the way that people listen to music has changed significantly in recent years, with the rise of streaming and on-demand services, the impact of album sequencing on the overall listening experience has not diminished." FULL ARTICLE - https://djbooth.net/features/2023-02-13-album-sequencing-in-streaming-era I think it absolutely matters even if it changes how a listener receives the music I still don't know anyone putting new albums on shuffle. They may skip to their favorite song(s), repeat them a zillion times but still at some point may listen to the album start to bottom or at least try to. I think it's important to define what the album is for a particular artist and project. It may be a collection of songs the artist thought fit well or it could actually have a theme regardless the sequencing would still matter when a listener sat down to digest the album. Thoughts?

only speaking for myself it matters only for the first 1 or 2 listens after i have found my faves off the project i just add them to a specific playlist that i will go back to later.

@Tracy Lamont sometimes i find like 2 or 3 album cuts that i like more than the singles that have been promoted for months.
Daw’s
Hey guys, curious to know what DAWs you're using - Pro Tools, Ableton, Cubase, FL Studio, Logic? And do you ever use more than one DAW for a specific task? Let me know in the comments!

@Dominic Keaton I've got around 6 more tracks left to record for my project. Once that's done, I'm planning to dive into learning Logic Pro.

@Jean Paul It took me some time to get used to Abelton Live, but once I discovered its seamless synchronization with my MPC, I knew it was a must-have tool.
