How much do you want to make?
You are in complete control of how far you take this business. The reality is that about 99% of people doing headlight restoration treat it like a hobby. They do a few cars here and there and never push it any further. But we want you to be the 1%. There are several people in this niche who have turned headlight restoration into serious, life-changing income. This business can absolutely produce $2,000+ per week if the right things are in place. If you're trying to level up, drop a comment and tell me specifically what you're struggling with. And donโ€™t just say โ€œI need more customers.โ€ Tell me the real issue, like: - You have a hard time talking to people - You donโ€™t have a website - You donโ€™t know how to price jobs - Youโ€™re nervous approaching dealerships - You donโ€™t know how to get repeat work Letโ€™s actually break down whatโ€™s holding you back and figure out why youโ€™re not at $2,000 per week yet โ€” and what we can change to get you there.

@Glo Minaya so what! I had paid for a Ford F-150 ( over $250) pax headlight to a customer when I started because I didn't know what I was doing. Yes, mistake are going to happen. Now after more than 165 5 start reviews you think I care if a mistake happens. Go an screw someone headlight and make money.

@Glo Minaya I started with the wrong grid of paper and it went down hill from that point on. I did not remove the factory coat completely and at the end that headlight looked awful. Live and learn I guess.

@Jason LaRosa thank you. Yes I wanted uglyheadlights.com but it was taken.
Advice?
Hey team! I had another client reach out from my flyers and he has a 2018 Toyota Tacoma with partial factory clearcoat failure as you can see if you zoom in towards the main bulb area. Iโ€™m just curious for sanding progression. Should I start with 600 or 800 and then work my way up to 3K?

I would recommend using a blade to start and remove the peeling paper. It is going to be like peeling your own skin. The glue in the headlight can be removed starting with a 320. Good luck with it.
