Let's get to know each other! Comment below sharing where you are in the world, with a photo of a favourite book, and maybe in your favourite place to relax, read and revel. 😊 #selfie #whatareyoureading Here I am sat in the 'cateo' I made, reading a lovely memoir - Slow Blink - from soon-to-be author-in-residence Louise Ross (pictured) 😻

Today's Portugal Resident carries my column on why it's time for an expat book club, and why it's especially for recovering readers like me. (Page 40, if you've got a copy to hand.) The six books on that page give you a taste of what's coming here at Book Ravers: 📖 Women Who Walk and The Winding Road to Portugal by Louise Ross 📖 Forgetting Nicholas Trant by Tim Richardson 📖 The Algarve Experience: Life Through Foreign Eyes by Paolo Funassi & Anna Alcott 📖 Not Done Yet: Life After 60 by Ali Heathfield 📖 The Performance Prescription by Dr John Briffa Each author will (fingers crossed) take up residence here for a week: an interview on Monday, the big idea on Friday, and the chance to ask them anything in between. Louise is up first. Authors: if you're one of the six, consider this your official invitation to come in, say hello and tell us what you're reading yourself. Readers: which of these would you most like to hear from? Tell us in the comments/vote 👇 *And if you know someone who used to love reading and has lost the habit, send them this post.
