My community looked dead for 3 weeks
Nobody posting. Maybe 2 comments total. I was checking stats every day like an idiot. Then a coach I work with messaged me - she'd been reading every post but didn't feel ready to jump in yet. Turns out 4 other members felt the same way. They were all lurking, waiting to see if people actually responded to stuff before they posted. Once one of them finally commented, the others followed within a few days. Anyone else notice lurkers suddenly activate out of nowhere?

This matches what I've seen running my own community. The feed looks dead but the read counts tell a totally different story, way more people are quietly absorbing everything than the comment count suggests. What finally moved the needle for me was lowering the bar to participate: instead of big open-ended prompts, I started asking dead-simple one-word or one-line questions people could answer without feeling like they had to perform. The lurkers who'd never write a paragraph would happily drop a single reply, and once they'd broken the seal they kept coming back. Curious whether you think the trigger is more about one brave member going first, or about the prompt being easy enough that going first feels low-risk?
My YouTube Channel Just Passed 500 Subscribers!! 🚀🥳
OMG guys… this feels unreal. I officially have over 500 subscribers on YouTube. And here’s the crazy part… I never even wanted to start a YouTube channel. But thanks to @Ted Carr and @Sam Bragg , I started one. There were moments I wanted to quit. Moments I felt like I was wasting my time. Moments I thought, “Maybe this isn’t for me.” But I kept going. A few months later… 500+ subscribers. What makes this even more special? Some people found and joined my Skool community through YouTube. That makes this journey so much more meaningful. My next goal? 1,000 subscribers. And more content around: • Systeme Funnels • Meta Ads • Skool Communities Excited to focus on Youtube and achieving new milestones!

@Mizbah Rauf brilliant!
In response to Ted’s premise
That we need to feel what it’s like to make the income we want, to know it, see it, remind ourselves…i edited a screenshot of my Venmo account and it’s now my phones home screen!

Love this concept. I actually did something similar when I was getting started in multifamily investing — I set my phone wallpaper to the monthly cash flow number I was targeting. Sounds cheesy but it kept the goal front and center every day. The psychology of "seeing it" before you achieve it is real.

🚀 Why Smart People Struggle to Start Their Business & How to Fix It 🧠
I talk to smart people who are stuck when it comes to starting their business. The issue? Too many ideas! 😅 They’re always “researching,” “thinking,” and “planning” 🤔📚 … but never deciding. Here’s the truth: Your brain’s survival mode sees anything new as "dangerous." Fear kicks in, and progress stalls. But here’s the good news: The idea itself doesn’t matter as much as your commitment to sticking with it. 💡 ✨ 3-Step Formula for Success ✨ 1️⃣ Pick ONE idea 🔍 2️⃣ Eliminate all other options 💸 3️⃣ Commit FULLY 🚀 Norman Vincent Peale said it best: "The great secret of getting what you want is to know what you want, and believe you can have it." Still stuck? Narrow your ideas down to three. Ask yourself:💡 “If all three gave me the same result in the same time, which would I choose?” Need help? Drop your thoughts in the comments or slide into my DM . . . I’m here to help! 👇🏽👇🏽 Remember: NOTHING GROWS IN THE COMFORT ZONE. 🌱 Stop chasing shiny objects 🌟 and focus on building with dedication. When I started my first business at 27, I committed fully, no Plan B. Nine years later, I sold it. 💪 It’s decision time. What will YOU choose? As Yoda says: “Do or do not. There is no try.” Cheers,Z’da 🥂

This is so true and I see it constantly in real estate investing too. People spend months analyzing deals, reading every book, watching every YouTube video... but never make an offer. The ones who actually build wealth pick a lane — whether it's multifamily, flips, or wholesaling — and go all in. Imperfect action beats perfect planning every single time.
Worth it to go live in front of zero people?
Hosting live workshops is one of the best ways to make money online as an educator, teacher or coach. You get to teach what you love (for free) and at the end of the presentation people give you money. If that sounds pretty awesome, it's because it is. But should you still do a live workshop even if you get zero registrations? Spoiler: Lauren did - and now she's a millionaire! This video explains why 👇

This hit home. I run a real estate investing community and my first few live Q&As had maybe 1-2 people show up. Felt like I was talking to myself. But those early sessions became some of my best content — I repurposed them into clips and posts that actually drove new members in later. The reps you get going live with zero people are what make you sharp when there are 50. Keep showing up.
