@Mik Chac to pass a 50k prop firm challenge, you have to make $3,000 before getting in $2,000 of drawdown or loss. So at the start, bring the account from $50,000 to $53,000 before dropping to $48,000. As you make profit towards the $53,000 number, the $2,000 of drawdown moves up with you. Imagine day 1 you're up $500 so far. Account is now $50,500 but the day isn't over. With EOD only after market close, after 2pm EST does the drawdown move up. Meaning $2,000 from $50,500 is $48,500. So before that day ends, if you made $500 then lost it back to $0 profit for the day, your drawdown would be the same, going into day 2. Intraday that drawdown moves up the moment you go above $0 for the day. Imagine that same trade that made you the $500 day 1. If that trade went to $500 in profit, but dropped down and you closed it at break even, meaning you didnt make or lose any money, your drawdown is going to trail your highest intraday balance. In short, your drawdown is $500 less, $1,500. This trail is happening constantly. Any value of profit above $0 brings your drawdown up so if you lose that profit, the drawdown trails up there, lowering your drawdown
