Question
When you look at yourself in the mirror ... When you choose an item of clothing to wear in the morning ... When you choose an item of clothing to buy from a shop or an online store ... What are you hoping to achieve? Do you want to look like you fit in with what you perceive 'your type of person' to be? Do you want to stand out from others who are 'your type of person'? Do you want to look strong and dependable? Artistic and sensitive? Mature and wise? Sexy and attractive 'in that way'? What is your 'goal' beyond keeping warm and not being arrested for indecency?

I look for that one statement piece such as a suit jacket or a shirt, and then I compliment everything else around them. I usually do it for myself. I guess in some cases you can use the word authentic or experimentive!

@Geoff Saunders I really don't care what other people think, however it is nice to get compliments because of what I wear.
Weekly RMRS Member Shoutouts 👔
Gentlemen, here are a few standout posts from the RMRS community this week. 👏 Big shoutout to @Jonathon Shane Crawford for kicking off a fantastic discussion on "Dining etiquette" — a topic that sparked 150 replies from members sharing their takes on modern table manners, hosting guests, and restaurant conduct. Monday’s Outfit
The little lapel pin says five years excellence in service. It is a present from the school district for my service. You can also spot the okeefe inspired flower painting I did behind me which I think makes for a nice background.

What's With The Sneakers?!
Watching the World Cup matches and between them the commentators come on. Nice suit, matching tie, and blaring white court sneakers. Not an open collar and unbuttoned sport coat, a nice suit with matching tie. Am I being too critical or does this look doofy? Yeah, they are supposed to be hip, edgy, cool. I think they look like idiots, and I discount everything they're saying. Too critical? Blast away. Let's talk about it.

I think at times, they think that they look good, but they really don't! I know the fanbase of many countries, who just want to incorporate their team colors . A suit is known to be a classic or a fashion piece in a wardrobe. Done correctly, and it can exhibit status, & prestige in one's knowledge of sartorial culture. Done poorly, it can make you look like a buffoon or a young child playing dress up. There are a lot of sport commentators that DO get this right. At the end of the day, you can tell who has fashion and style & who doesn't!

I think sneakers may work as long as there no flashy logos and they are all one color. For instance, white sneakers can be pulled off in some scenarios, but of course that may dress down a well structured suit. It depends on the occasion.
Summer Sophistication in Navy and Linen
The interplay of textures is what elevates this ensemble from attractive to exceptional: the airy weave of the natural linen trousers and the linen/silk/wool jacket provides effortless sophistication, while the finely ribbed navy knit polo introduces depth and refinement without competing for attention. Rich navy anchors the warm palette with quiet confidence, allowing the soft ivory linens, cognac leather loafers and belt, crisp white pocket square, and gold timepiece to create a harmonious progression of complementary tones that feels both timeless and distinctly Texan. The contrast between relaxed summer fabrics and polished accessories strikes a masterful balance, conveying an ease that is never careless and an elegance that is never overstated.
