This time of year can get loud really quickly. Presents. Parties. Sales. Social media. If we’re not careful, we end up stressed, overspending and chasing things that don’t actually matter. For me as a Christian, the real meaning of Christmas is simple: God loved us so much He sent Jesus. It’s about hope, forgiveness, peace, and a love we don’t have to earn. That’s the centre of it for me. But even if you’re not a Christian, I want to encourage you with this: 👉 Slow down. 👉 Be present. 👉 Put your phone down and look your family in the eye. Love your wife or husband well. Be intentional with your kids. Check in on a mate who’s doing it tough. Have real conversations, not just small talk. Christmas isn’t meant to be a competition about who gives the best presents or has the best lunch spread. It’s about connection, gratitude, and remembering what (and who) is truly important. This year, don’t let the materialistic, superficial side of Christmas steal the joy of the meaningful side. Ask yourself today: - Who do I need to appreciate more? - Who do I need to forgive? - How can I make someone else’s day better? Whether you share my faith or not, I hope this Christmas is full of peace, love, and real moments that actually matter. ❤️💪
