What's collecting dust on your bookshelf?
I've got like 6 books sitting there staring at me. Bought them months ago with the best intentions. "I'm definitely going to read this one next!" ...Still haven't touched them. The Lean Startup. Atomic Habits (yeah, I know, everyone's read it but me). Some book about productivity that's probably ironic at this point. We all do this, right? Buy books. Stack them up. Feel productive for buying them. Then they just sit there judging us. What's that ONE book you really want to read but haven't gotten to yet? The one that's been on your "I'll read it next" list for months?

I've got at least 600....currently all are accessible (I don't drag them to Asia and I'm in the USA at the moment) but who has that much time...
Why don't you have a digital product yet?
Serious question. If you're delivering services online... Could some of that be turned into a digital product? Like instead of doing the same thing over and over for different clients... What if you packaged it once and sold it multiple times? Course. Template. System. Checklist. Same knowledge. Just way more scalable. Is there something you do repeatedly that could be a digital product?

I've had something online and generating [however small] cash since 1997.
What did you do before?
Quick question for the nomads in here... What did you do for work before you went remote and started working online?

The same thing (basically) that I do now. Software.
Threads Thread...
Looks like there's a solid opportunity here for early exposure. You can get real reach without needing a huge following. I’ve just jumped on: https://www.threads.com/@dev.brett Follow me there and follow this post — I’ll be the guinea pig and report back what works and what doesn't.

Very weird that the account I just created required 'an appeal' to get it unlocked. Seems counterproductive to greet new users that way.
Anyone else think AI is totally overrated?
I've been playing with AI tools lately (because apparently that's what we're all supposed to do now). And maybe I'm just doing it wrong... But I spend like 90% of my time trying to explain what I actually want. It's like talking to someone who KIND OF understands English... But not really. Me: "Hey AI, can you help me with this thing?" AI: "Here's a detailed explanation about something completely different!" Me: bangs head on desk Everyone keeps talking about how it's supposed to make us more productive... But I'm pretty sure I could've done everything myself in HALF the time it takes to explain it to the AI. Maybe some of you are AI whisperers or something. If so, I'd love to hear your secrets. Because right now, I'm starting to think we're all just pretending this actually works. Have you experienced this too?

I thought so until recently. Ignore AI at your peril

I used to think that but I've changed my mind. Consider the struggle, part of the learning curve. Ignore AI at your peril.
