🚨“Smart But Stuck”: Executive Dysfunction Masked by Intelligence
Ever feel like your brain is a Ferrari 🏎️… but your life looks like a stalled minivan on the shoulder? 🚐💨 That gap has a name: executive dysfunction masked by intelligence. Here’s the pattern a lot of us live in (but rarely say out loud): - You understand things instantly 🤯 - You can see the whole system, all the way to the end 🔭 - You get a huge dopamine hit from starting projects ⚡ - Then your energy falls off a cliff in the boring middle 🕳️ From the outside, it looks like: --- “Wasted potential.” “Lazy.” “Undisciplined.” On the inside, it feels like: --- “My brain can see everything I could be… and my body just won’t move.” The truth a lot of high-IQ / gifted people are discovering: This isn’t a character flaw. It’s a wiring pattern. Your intelligence lets you: - See every path 🧠 - See every tradeoff ⚖️ - See every way it could go wrong 💣 That level of awareness makes commitment feel like loss.Finishing something means killing all the other possibilities. Your nervous system reads that as a threat ☠️ not a to-do. So it quietly protects you by: - Overthinking instead of acting 🤔 - Perfecting instead of publishing 🎯 - Starting new instead of finishing old 🔁 Result? A graveyard of half-built businesses, half-written books, and half-done projects 🪦 The reframe 🧩 If this is you, the problem isn’t: ❌ “I’m not motivated enough.” ❌ “I just need more discipline.” It’s: --- “My brain is overqualified for the beginning and under-supported for the middle.” The work is learning how to: - Shrink the commitment (tiny, ugly completions ✅) - Lower the stakes (this is a version, not the masterpiece) - Add external structure (deadlines, people, systems that don’t care how smart you are) Let’s make this real 👇 Drop in the comments: 1️⃣ Do you relate to “executive dysfunction masked by intelligence”? 2️⃣ What’s the biggest thing you’ve started but never finished? 3️⃣ Would you want a mini-series inside this community on how to build systems that bypass this pattern (instead of just “trying harder”)?

Yeah, I do my own video editing with the OpenShot editor. Easy to use and free...

It is pretty quick to do a plain edit and render, but when doing tech stuff videos there are images and clips to add. That takes some time...

I love the idea of starting with simple, no nonsense explanations. Maybe with some overly simplistic images or drawings. Those are what usually grab my attention and make me want to know more!
Hey Everyone!
I've been busy working on producing new videos for my YouTube channel @GraviticAlchemy so look forward to those. What is everybody else working on? Any plans for the weekend?

I'm looking forward to your new videos. Working on a couple of teaching experiments for my Inertial Propulsion Workshop. Also working on new material for the Workshop and for YT. Saturday afternoon is the APEC conference online, live on YT, where at least one friend of mine is presenting. As for actual work I'm doing, I'm doing R&D on a propulsion engine that has shown promise but still isn't right, and I'm building a newer version of my PIE (Pulsed Inertial Engine) systems. And also having a few adult beverages along the way... 😁🍸🍻

@Louis Lockett, Sr. Will do!
Welcome! Start Here ✊
Welcome to GraviticAlchemy! This isn’t just another science group. It’s a movement to change how we understand gravity — not mass pulling mass, not spacetime bending, but the downward force of pressure waves. That shift changes everything. Step 1: Introduce Yourself! 🗣️ Tell us your name and where you’re from ⚡ Share the sci-fi tech you most wish was real 🎯 Tell us what excites you most — the experiments, the breakthroughs, or the future applications Step 2: Watch the Intro Video! 👇 (coming soon) Step 3: Join the Conversation! Here we track experiments, share wins and fails, and imagine the future those discoveries can unlock. Hoverboards, flying cars, sky-cities — nothing is off the table. RULES: ❌ No selling in the DMs ❌ No spam anywhere in the group ❌ No gatekeeping — if you’ve got insight, share it freely Because sci-fi isn’t enough anymore, together, we move Beyond Spacetime. 🚀⚡🌌

My name is Bryan StClair. I am from the Finger Lakes region of Central New York (not NYC) between Syracuse and Rochester. I have well over 40 years in the automotive repair business, but my body has taken a beating from it and I'm feeling pretty burned out... My side passion has always been alternative energy systems which has morphed into the propulsion field. Electrostatics were thrilling but underpowered so the focus has been mechanical inertial propulsion for the last 5 or 6 years. Much of this had to be self taught because there aren't any schools or organizations teaching this. I want to change that and help teach the up and coming younger generations as well as the seasoned experimenters and turn this into a new path for them, and eventually a business for me.

Over 40 years in the auto and truck repair industry. Now I'm working to teach genuine working inertial propulsion systems to others.
