What is the fastest way to reset the nervous system? It's something we call Relax on Demand, or 1:2 Breathing. The key is in the exhale. By extending the exhale, you give your body permission to shift to resting mode. Throw a few of these before your breath holds,, and watch the numbers go up. (and feel amazing in the mean time). Did you know this? Every day you do breath hold training, you become more resilient vs. overbreathing. When you exert yourself, your oxygen intake goes up by 300% to 500% What comes in, must come out; in this case, in the shape of CO2. Luckily, as an apneanaut, you have build up ample CO2 tolerance. The result? Your breathing rhythm stays intact, even when you run a mile. Good reason to keep posting those times. ๐Ÿ˜Ž Any of you experienced an easier time during workouts ever since picking this up?

Have you met your inner dolphin yet? With these weeks tips, you may awaken him a little sooner. When you hold your breath for a little while, a reflex kicks in. Your heart rate drops. And your limbs may feel a bit tingly. We call this the mammalian dive reflex, or also, the inner dolphin.
