🔴 Portrait Drawing 1, M01 - In Class Assignment

1. I’ve been studying off and on since 1996. 2. Five artists that inspire me for their portrait artwork include- Sargent, Norman Rockwell, Andrew Loomis, Drew Struzan, and Richard Amsel. 3. Five drawing books that I refer to on a regular basis include- 1) Creative Illustration ( Andrew Loomis), Morpho (Michel Lauricella), How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way ( Lee/ Buscema), The Figure ( Walt Reed), and Steve Rude’s Figure Drawing book. 4. I’ve taken courses at Associates in Art, Gnomon, and The Animation Guild. Also taken workshops with Iain Mccaig, Glen Orbik, Gregory Weir Quiton, and Marcos Mateu Mestre. 5. Currently my top five favorite artists are: Bob Peak, Alex Raymond, Robert McGinnis, Drew Struzan, and Joe Kubert. 6. I’ve included a photo of my simple workspace and a portrait by the late great Drew Struzan. 7. Thanks for having me and I look forward to continuing this journey.
