C64 & Christmas
With Christmas fast approaching what memories do you have of your 64 and Christmas. Did you receive your 64 or games as a Christmas present? I had my 64 as my main present in 1984. I remember getting Little Computer People, Koronis Rift & Scarabaeus the following Christmas and Labyrinth the Christmas after that. I always looked forward to the Christmas issue of Zzap64. And who can forget the Commodore Christmas demo! To me Christmas and the 64 have always gone hand in hand.

What's your thoughts on Spy vs Spy 3?
Personally, Spy vs Spy 2 was my fave, but most likely because I'd played it before the first one, which I think most people would say is the best, and certainly most challenging. I remember when I first played the 3rd one, I pretty much instantly dismissed it. I'm not sure if it was because it lacked the atmosphere of the others, or because it just felt like more of the same. However, I played it again yesterday with an open mind and it's actually quite good fun. It's a shame it was a bit of a commercial flop, as apparently there was a 4th one planed which was going to be in space. This makes sense as in the 3rd one, when you complete the level, you get in a rocket and blast vertically out of the screen. What's your thoughts on this game or any of the others in the series?

All the spy vs spy games are good two is probably the best of the trio there was supposed to be a spy vs spy in space the fourth game but after the failure of the third it never materialised
Games with a difficult “in”
Which games hide their greatness behind either a high initial difficulty level, unintuitive control or complexity meaning somebody who played the game for 5 mins (especially if they had no instructions) would dismiss it as a bad or average game not giving it chance for its strengths to shine through? I know @Phil Wheatley mentioned Wizball in his latest Zzap review video as an example of game that would be easy to give up on when you are just bouncing around until after you get the first couple of power ups it’s true genius shines through! A game I recently got an original copy of was New York City and I’ve had this game for years not knowing what to do and now I have the instructions and know what to do it’s a fun little game. Any other games you can think of that people should invest time that have that difficult initial “in”?

Thrust is a difficult game to master but reaps reward a difficult challenge but it's fantastic especially for a budget price
Any love for Microprose
These "games" were really a cut above the rest. This is my small collection (would love to get Pirates!!!). Which is your favourite of the Microprose games? Mine is Gunship but I love them all!

Arcade games and the C64
The C64 and arcade conversions have been linked since its very inception after all its first recognised game Jupiter Lander was a clone of Lunar Lander. Which were the best arcade conversations & which were the worst? which arcade games were you most looking forward to being converted to the 64 and were you happy or disappointed with the result? Which arcade game did you wish had been converted and wasn’t? Which arcade games did you only find out about after playing it on the 64? And were there any 64 conversions that were actually better than the arcade game they were taken from? I’ll start with Green Beret. I had never played this in the arcade but thought it was amazing on the 64. After the advent of MAME and finally getting to play the arcade version I actually think the 64 version is better.
