I wanted to share a thing or two about what I'm currently trying to learn to work through. I'm very curious to know if anyone else has found themselves in a similar situation before and what you have or are doing, to manage it. For starters, the day 2 breath work session really stirred up some emotions for me. It's apparent that I'm definitely holding some things within that desperately need to be sorted. But here's my predicament.... I'm finding myself having trouble regulating my system and being able to maintain this alignment that we just discussed in the closing session. That word alignment feels to have a broad coverage so to speak in the sense that, in some areas I would say I have it, while in others I feel I most certainly do not. My home life at the moment is quite tense. There's a great deal of arguing. Not with me, I keep to myself and don't engage but...it's in the air. It's often rather caustic as there are a few individuals who are challenging to be in the company of to say the least. My sister makes a point to remind me in passing how much she detests me. And I know that's, in actuality, more of a her problem than a me problem, but nonetheless it wears you down hearing it frequently. I then leave home to go to a job that has very much it's own layers of stress and toxicity that is difficult to avoid at times. So I feel like I'm going from the frying pan to the fire most days. Hence the reason I tend to isolate myself quite regularly. This is where and why I would say that I am fairly in alignment with myself and who I am, but I'll be damned if I dont't struggle to hold that throughout the day when constantly permeated with outside influences. I am definitely carrying some anger, some resentment, and I have a tendency to guilt myself when I catch myself failing to manage it properly. I'm really curious how I can apply some of these techniques and lessons into more daily practice beyond just setting aside time to do a 30-60 minute breath work session. Specifically, how can I incorporate a way to use this more "on demand" when I need it to re-align between disruptive times.
