Are you going to the Tampa RV show?
The Tampa RV show is next week and we will be there for a few days. We will also be doing a meet and greet on Saturday from 1-3. If you are going let us know we would love to see you there:) Plus if you are interested in RV life or just touring RVs this is a great place to go to walk through them all. I remember my first RV show it was so fun to walk through all the different floor plans and styles and it's absolutely crazy to think there's RVs that are worth a few million dollars. INSANE! I'm curious how many people in here have an RV or are full-time RV'ers. Check out the poll below:)

We will be full time by March. House is sold and we are just finishing up with closing and last of the moving and downsizing. Should have our RV by late January. Can’t make Tampa this year but we do plan to go to the Kansas City RV show January 23-25.Would love to go to Tampa next year šŸ‘šŸ¼. We hope to run into y’all at a show one of these days 😊. We don’t exactly fit in any of these categories yet, at least not for a couple of weeks but I’m choosing the full timers because we will be in a minute šŸ˜‚.

@Jimi Falin Thank you! We have run into a hiccup with our closing due to missing paperwork regarding our title so we have filed the request for it but are being told it may take a month. Super sad but we are just getting that much more prepared to launch. We expected the first year to be a challenge but we have always had some form of camper/ rv or have dry camped our whole 36 years together and we have been practicing living more simply and cutting expenses for some time now in preparation. We have also watched a ā€œmillionā€ YouTube videos to go into this with realistic expectations. I hope that all makes the transition easier for us. Thanks for the support!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR FAM!
Wishing everyone an amazing and safe New Year's Eve! What is everyone doing tonight? We are laying low and hanging with a few friends and lighting off some fireworks. Can't wait to hear how you ring in the new year! 🄳

We just got home from work, getting ready to make dinner and watching YouTube videos of all our favorite RV families on the TVā™„ļø. Going to be a quiet evening and we may fall asleep in our chairs before the ball dropsšŸ˜‚. It’s been a hard, long week alreadyšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļøšŸ¾šŸŽ‰. We close on the house January 15 so 2026 will be way more exciting that tonightšŸ„°šŸ˜‰. Rv life here we come!!
We finally did it!
We have been wanting to start a second YouTube channel for about six months and there’s always something that gets in the way of taking it to completion. Well that’s not gonna be our story anymore in 2026. We originally thought posting our podcast on our main long-form channel was the right move, but doing some research with ChatGPT, it turns out that the lower views on the podcast was making the algorithm think people didn’t like our channel anymore. So we decided to create a separate channel for the podcast to live. I have everything about 70% uploaded and will finish it off today. Maybe you guys could be one of the first ones to subscribe to the channel. https://youtube.com/@trynsomethingnewpodcast?si=X7zRHweTStU0nhkY What is one thing you’re not going to procrastinate on anymore this year?

Dinnerware on the road
We are finalizing the steps before we start our journey on the next several months. I’m looking for dinnerware that is non-breakable & microwave safe but isn’t plastic. What are y’all using for dinnerware on the road? I don’t want to buy paper goods all the time and would like some reusable plates, etc.

@Nina Miller I thought about Corelle. Do you nest them with anything to help prevent breakage?

@Nina Miller cool! Good to know. Thanks
What are your Christmas traditions?
Here are our top 7 1. We make lots of cookies and desserts especially grinch cookies 2. Go to the movies on Christmas Eve or Christmas night 3. Drive around and look at all the lights that people use to decorate their house 4. Play funny, silly Christmas games with each other and connect 5. Make all of our favorite foods for Christmas dinner. This might be a bit of a shocker, but we don't make turkey,Ā  we do get a frozen mud pie from Walmart every year and love it. 6. Elfie and his crew visits us every single day in December, does something mischievous and write’s a note for the kids. 7. Watch all the Christmas Classics like Elf, Christmas Vacation, Christmas with the Cranks and sometimes 4 Christmases.. Drop a comment below and let us know some of your Christmas traditions, because we're always looking to trysomethingnew.... Merry Christmas

Treasure the traditions!! We are in the ā€œjust usā€ phase now where we are starting over and creating new traditions one more time. This year has been so different with selling the house (it’s under contract šŸŽ‰) but we are making the best of it!! 1. Christmas Eve service with our friends. 2. Christmas light drive around to see all we can find. We love the fiber optic ones!! 3. Spending Christmas Day sleeping in, watching a parade (may have to be a rerunšŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø), playing pool, throwing some horseshoes and enjoying the outdoors laying in a hammock in this unseasonably warm weather. 4. Make some carnitas and dessert to take to our kids house later in the weekend. 5. Finish moving the things we are keeping to storage because we close early next month!! Rv life here we come!!
