Lately, it feels less about starting something new… and more about continuing what’s already unfolding. Every creative, every writer, hits that point where it’s not about beginnings anymore, it’s about keeping the story alive. Keeping your books alive. Finishing them. What do you think?

Hey! I love the idea! Sorry I haven’t checked in in a while, it’s been pretty hectic in my home life. But I like this because it’s a good reminder that anyone here should absolutely keeping moving forward, write that next page. Keep your dream and the story alive, and let this place be one of your motivators.
Why We Write
Sometimes I wonder what drives us to sit down and write when no one’s asking for it. I think it’s because writing isn’t just about telling stories. It’s about remembering who we are. It's about reflection. When life gets noisy, writing is how we slow down long enough to make sense of it all. What about you? What’s the reason you keep writing, even when it’s hard?

@Danny Dragone I write because I need to. A need cultivated from a want. With gaming, especially with player vs player, I tend to chase the high of good games. That’s the same with writing, when you write and the flow hits, it just feels good.
The Soft Launch.
Okay, I've been building this for a bit now, and today it officially opens. Right now, it may seem slow in here, but I hope this community will grow into something huge. Now more than ever, we need artists and writers to tell a story, to paint us a picture, to create change. That's what artists do. But we need help. We need guidance. I have my ways, and I hope that other people will join here and add their insight as well. I'm only a person (an artist of 30+ years) who wants to make sure we artists have a place to go. This is my win for the week. Tell me yours.

My win for the week is this. For the last five weeks, I've been doing roughly 300 words per session. A slow process but I'm okay with it for now. However, today I did 1300 words, a whole thousand more. It's good progress for me.

@Danny Dragone thank you! Yes I missed it because it only notified me when you replied directly to me. Tomorrow I’m back at it with another session.
Has anybody tried the classroom modules yet?
I'm working on getting new members but have any of my current members tried any of the learning modules? And if you did, what do you think.?

I'm currently working on the Creative Mindset module as right now my inner critic is trying to stop me from writing more. Honestly my worst enemy in life is my own self-deprecation that's always found a way to hold me back. Now that I have a scheduled day where I get anywhere from 3 - 5 hours of uninterrupted writing time, by inner critic has created a "schedule" of their own. It starts on Wednesday, then creeps up a little more intense on Thursday, then when Friday hits it's full blown and outright hurtful. So I'm labeling it aptly "D**khead." I have yet to actually do the prompts at the bottom, but I've read over the four parts of the module and am setting out right now to apply the recommended mindset(s). As for what I think, so far I like that it's not too wordy and it has a sense of realism. Allows me to deviate for the moment, label the issue at hand, and move forward without it holding me back.
