John and/or any other credit masters! So, I’ve posted this in Evan’s group too, but I had an LLC that I started back in 2013, and I updated it this January, new name, updated address, etc. I wasn’t sure how to update the EIN number, so I left it alone. Big mistake, obviously. So, I talked to an IRS representative today, that deals with EIN numbers. He told me that I can either just apply for a new one, and then start using that one. Or, I can write them a letter asking them to change my information, send it certified mail, and it’ll take 4 to 6 weeks to process. Obviously, the second option is much less than ideal. So, my question is, are there any Lender ramifications to having a 13-year-old LLC with a brand new EIN number? Or is that perfectly acceptable, a complete non-issue?
