Small, relentless steps into the dark
I'm not much of a new years resolutions guy, but I do like to the collective prolonged meditation on how bizarre and plot-twisty time has been for us. 365 days feels rather arbitrary if you were new to earth and didn't know that was a 'year.' And especially being in a different country with different seasons, it feels altogether irrelevant. It's another day, another opportunity. Simple. Are you inspired by your own goals or not? Are you optimally running from your anti-vision and drawn towards your ideal life at the same time? Are you being silly because you CAN!? My one small tweak of mind aside from 'How can I be courageous?' Is 'How can i rip the bandaid off?' Sometimes we can still dance around something, but if there was a 1-5second way to deliver what I could try to delicately do in 5 minutes... how different would i sound? How much more clear would i be? It may be at the cost of gentleness to be significantly more blunt, but anybody who knows my character, values and way i appreciate them will already know the bluntness is to value and deepen connection. It's also opposing my perfectionism. So many of my crafts - writing, music, is slow, diligent tweaks. But imperfect and unapologetic raw expression has its merit as well. A season of momentum. Small, relentless steps forward. Even if i am literally blind. I am dragging forward to see into the fog in the direction I deem to be worth discovering. What momentum do you want to build or sustain? What one sentence or value navigates how you move in the world??

I want to maintain the momentum of forward growth fueled by the energy of communal goals being achieved. The more a group achieves goals together as a whole and they stack up. I’m noticing that leads to our own goals not seeming as daunting and we fall in love with the process more and don’t focus on the end. What I’m seeing now
Inconvenience Is Where Character is Built
I'll be making WAY more videos! Here is the first of many. What's your ambitions as the world collectively launches to a new beginning together? Let's hit the ground running TODAY. And when we fail tomorrow, it's a new start TODAY again.

Cocaine.. on Christmas??!
Yup, you read that right. I was fortunate enough to be invited to a Christmas traveller potluck here in queenstown New Zealand. There was 50-80people wandering through and making themselves at home in this house for Christmas. Christmas felt like a joke that everybody was in on in this green land. No decorations, no music. Just a very welcoming group knowing what it’s like to be alone on Xmas abroad. Wholesome, right??! I got caught up (somehow) having deep conversations about free will and how much we we are really in control of our life and make some good connections. Meanwhile, 10-15people are throwing around little baggies of coke and MDMA in the living room .. MID-DAY on Christmas. They were respectful enough to their space. But it made me realize how utterly unshocked I am by how bizarre life and new environments can be now. So this takes the cake as my weirdest Christmas to date. Do you guys have weirdest-Xmas stories?😅

I thought the title was a metaphor not actual coke in Christmas but one to there own lol 😂
Optimal Sacrifices
We are all making sacrifices in life. How do you know you're making ones you're happy and proud of? A 'good' sacrifice would be an example like chess. If you can bait the opponent with a lower quality character - pawn - to take out a higher value one, then that's a 'good' sacrifice. Something lower for something of greater value. Right? So what sacrifices are you making to exchange lower value for higher value in life? It comes in ALL forms. Time to cook - healthier body Time checking in on friends - harmonious relationships Work for $$$... but are we content with that value exchange? Where is the discontent in your life? It may be attached to a value exchange you may be unhappy with, but haven't yet put it into words. I was unhappy being so exhausting being a physical labourer. I put a lot of pride in being the strongest worker. But I was just the most tired guy getting paid the same as the laziest guy. It is WISDOM and TEACHABILITY that raises your salary. So I became a learner, so I could replace my physical labour and delegate projects. Some people are happy to explore the pride of strong workers, but we need a backbone to ask how we may elevate our value and position ourselves in new skills to actually elevate our compensation. You're allowed to be discontent IF you are willing to do the uncomfortable work and navigate into the unknown and explore different variations of sacrifice to feel contentment with your energetic exchange in the world. What sort of 'good' sacrifices have you made in your life? How did it feel navigating those choices?
