Current Workout Split & Food for Thought 🥑🍕
The summer is here my friends. A quote stuck in my head is “take care of the work and the work will take care of you”. So if you ain’t taking care of the work, the work can’t take care of you. The work is showing up - workout, train, shoot puck & compete this summer to be that next level version of yourself. A few things for you Motivation comes after not before we execute the task we need to do. Understanding there will be days you aren’t motivated to do the work will help soften your perspective of pushing through. I believe the “not wanting to vs doing it regardless” is a gap where gaining extra confidence lies. Do it regardless of how you feel. Anywho - people ask for my workout split so here’s an inside look as of recent. I’m currently on a 4-5x / workout split Monday - Lower Body Tuesday - Upper Body Wednesday - Off or Active Recovery ⛳️ Thursday - Conditioning & Sprints Friday - Full Body Saturday - 25 Mins HIIT Full Body (every other week) Sunday - Off or Active Recovery ⛳️ If you have questions, workout programs you’d like me to review. My Workouts As Of This Past Week 🏋️‍♂️
What’s up community - like I said I wanna start sharing more of what I do. What I do in the gym is one of the things. Saying that, I’ve always been hesitant sharing workouts on here. That’s because what I do, doesn’t exactly mean it’s what you should be doing to make progress. I say that because a big part of gaining more muscle is knowing where you’re at currently. What I did at 12 years old is different from what I did at 16 years old. And what I did at 16 years old is much different than what I do today. The moral of story here is… Jumping into advanced exercises (yes, the ones we see on the internet) without first mastering basic technique and form make things less effective. As a beginner and intermediate in the gym, the basics are your friend. I’d argue that advanced lifters still master the basics and that plus a long period of consistency has made them. It takes time, effort & experience to receive the explosiveness, power and strength everyone wants. So be patient. If you see the guys in the gym that are absolutely jacked. You’re probably looking at someone with a MINIMUM of 5+ year of gym experience. I don’t say this to fear monger you, I say this to be truthful. It takes time & effort PLUS a lot of time. So hopefully today’s message becomes a good place to start. Good thing is if you just start, then you can figure it out from there. @Luke Croucher El España Squat. Basically band behind the knees squat with shins vertical and you sit back into it. Its a pretty wonky position. Great for isolation of quad and vmo, glute and hip activation, relieves pressure off the knees. But what i use it for beginners is the contrast of being in a powerful position (knees over toes/shin angle) over knees not - you need a strong band or you’ll just collapse.

Lox bagel. Whole wheat bagel - not mama Crouchers recipe… yet 1oz if cream cheese 2oz of lox (i cold smoked 3 lbs of salmon Tuesday/Wednesday 😆) Pickled Red onions Some seasoning I made in a grinder.

The ideal meal is roughly half carbs, quarter% protein/meat, a little bit of healthy fats, 2 fruit/veggies. Here are some if my favorites. Overnight oats are super quick and nice. Mix it up with some fruit, nuts, and sprinkle some protein powder in it to beef it up. Lox bagel is my favorites, you can fancy it up with an avocado spread. Go easy on the cream cheese. Grab a fruit. Burritos can be pre-made. 2 eggs and some whites, chicken, peppers, onions, meat, cheese. If you got more time, swap the Tortilla with some roasted potatoes. Rice, eggs, fruit. Toss some salmon it really class it up.

Im down for a challenge! We also have a cabin on the lake up north we visit on the reg. We go to Florida every year to visit my parents and spend a week on the beach..
