A little spice
Well today's workout was a little spicy, especially cause I was still feeling yesterday's upper part. But I did it and felt confident about it.

Girl! Your consistency is inspiring!! ♥️
GROWTH
Growth isnt always BIG, BOLD and LOUD. Think of gardening, how much happens with no visible work, under the ground. You cannot see it but growth and progress is happening. The small insignificant changes/moments matter more than you realize. It’s the showing up after you “failed” It’s doing the workout when you have no weights It’s eating the primarily whole food meals even when everyone else is indulging in the sometimes. It’s the reading the book or bible time when your mind tells you to scroll mindlessly. It’s the showing up and being authentically you even when you feel uncomfortable. 7 full days done, I haven’t been perfect with our mini challenge especially with the FOMO of Summer Smash but that doesnt mean I don’t show up today. I hope you show up for YOU today! THRIVE>SURVIVE

I love your garden analogy. My daughter just reminded me yesterday that trees & flowers don’t bloom every day, some days they just quietly grow at their own pace and rest when needed. 🥰
LEARNING IS A SUPER POWER
🎯 Focusing in on our first mini challenge item: reducing something that negatively sucks our time. For many of us, that thing is social media. Social media has turned into scrolling and consuming content rather than actually being social. As someone who wants to create genuine connections and help more women in this lifetime, I can confidently say that most people are only consuming content. We don't engage. We don't connect. We've lost the social piece of social media—and that's the very thing most of us crave without even realizing it. It's why we create this space. It's why we host in-person events. And it's why I won't stop trying to make social media social again. Some negative impacts of endless scrolling: ➡️ Comparison ➡️ Feeling unsure what's real and what's fake (AI is getting incredibly convincing!) ➡️ Constant distraction from your own life and goals ➡️ Chasing the next dopamine hit from likes, comments, and notifications One question that stops me in my tracks every time: "How is this serving me?" Most of the time, it isn't. The more we train our brains to seek constant stimulation, the harder it becomes to be present, satisfied, and connected to the real world around us. Application: ✔️ Set timers for your social media use. ✔️ Set an intention before opening an app. ✔️ Delete apps if they're becoming a constant problem. ✔️ Invest in a "brick" or another tool that helps create hard boundaries. ✔️ Be mindful of your phone use during REAL social situations. It genuinely breaks my heart when I look around a restaurant and see entire families sitting together but disconnected because everyone is staring at a screen. Go full 90s for a bit! Leave your phone at home. You will survive. And if you're really serious about improving your focus and connection? Remove your phone from your bedroom. 👇 Check-in time: How have you been doing with reducing your personal time-suck item this week?

Aside from yesterday not feeling well & laying on the couch all day, it’s been easier mentally than I’d thought! Back at it today!
Routine looks different
My routine has looked a little different lately with this potential autoimmune situation I have going on.. my body dictates when & how much I can do.. Monday was very little.. yesterday I got up early and did 50 min walk.. got home and strength seemed like a bad option so I did a 2nd walk, another 45 min.. steps were no problem yesterday! Today I got up & did yesterdays thrive before work.. ooof she was a spicy arm workout 🥵😮‍💨 let’s see how the arms feel later 😬 got a date to walk after work with my “baby girl”… she said this morning “I’ll wait for ya mama” After a few weeks of not being able to peel myself out of bed early to workout before work the last 2 days feel like a win!! Winning doesn’t always look the same as what it has in the past for us.. keep thriving

AutoImmunes are hard. Some days you gotta pick & choose. Way to stay positive my friend! 🥰
WINsday!
Wins, big or small MATTER!!! 90% of folks, when they start with me, they focus solely on what they aren’t doing, what they shouldn’t be eating, what they don’t have….all the negative. It’s my goal to break that for everyone! You wouldn’t go plant more weeds just because you have weeds in your garden. 🪴 You have to meet “evil” (negative) with good! So we celebrate wins and gratitude 1st, ALWAYS. My win having my best friend of 25 years workout with me AND walk with me! Don’t forget we have our June mini challenge going on! Focus in on reducing screentime/something that negatively sucks our time, water and steps! Thrive>Survive

Yesterday was a hard day for me. My win was taking a day off and resting. I missed my steps, and my water and was on my phone more than normal, but rest was what my body needed. My brain wasn’t too happy about it, but she too needed a break!
