Portfolio of Paychecks Map
This map shows the full arc of building a portfolio business, from a free newsletter all the way to diversified creator income. Five stages, in order. Each stage shows you the income stream to build, how to know you're in that stage, what the work looks like, and the milestone that tells you you're ready for the next one. Here's how to use it: 1. Download the map below. 2. Find the stage that describes where you are today. Be honest, not aspirational. 3. Look one stage to the right and work towards moving to that stage. If you don't know how, check the classroom for the course that aligns with what you need most. That's it. Don't build ahead, don't build three income streams at once, and don't skip a milestone because the next stage looks more exciting. Skipping stages is how creators end up with five half-built income streams and no paycheck. Once you know your stage, drop the number in the comments and let me know what would help you get to the next stage. Everything I post in this community maps back to these five stages, so knowing yours tells you exactly which lessons and threads to pay attention to first. Which stage of the Portfolio of Paychecks Map are you in right now?

@Zandra Zuraw I have often thought about doing this with my public podcast! No where near 2k on my list and almost 130 episodes nothing fancy no intro music or editing and more solo episodes as that was what listeners said they wanted more of but I do like facilitating conversations
PLEDGE
I keep seeing more and more with PLEDGE and it’s not being active until they enact paid? Is this the new directions since I am seeing as the choice when I find them and want to subscribe but not yet become paid? I kind of like this but would love to hear what others here say as it persons to monetizing
Notes Reality Check
There’s no shortage of advice about how often to post Notes. But I’d rather hear from people actually using the platform. What’s your current Notes cadence? And have you noticed any difference when you post more often versus less often?

I have been doing 5 notes a day with the last one alternating between 9pm and 11pm central time zones a few mid week days to see if I get more traction with the later evening across other time zones so far I don’t see that much of a difference from having the last note of the day at 7pm but I did see that when I post on weekends and have the first note around 10am when people are slow rolling into the weekend vs midweek! Reading those of you that do 10 a day maybe I’ll make that adjustment and spread them out with earlier start and then end with the 11pm!
Week 3 Discussion & Sharing
All - I have created a Week 3 Discussion and Sharing thread in the community. You may use this space to share your work from week three. We're officially halfway through the $20K Offer Stack Academy. I want you to know I appreciate the work you're putting in, and for some of you, it's paying off already - more traffic, more comments, and meaningful progress on ideas that have been brewing for a long time. Later this week, we're moving into the build phase: you'll create your first digital product. This is the lesson where the planning turns into a product you can sell. I've added an image of what's coming up over the next 2 weeks. If you've fallen a little behind, this week is a good time to catch up before we get into the build. The next few lessons build on each other. If you need help getting back on track, post in Skool or reply to this email — I'm here. Happy Building! Carrie

@Linda Wolf right here with you!
Week 1 Discussion & Sharing
Please use this thread to share your week one work. I will do my best to provide feedback within 24 hours. Every day you're building something that leads to the next step, so please take time to share what you're working on and feel free to comment on what others have shared as well.

Day 2 worksheet and objective was explained great Carrie and even though this is info I knew you were clear in how to define these 4 buyers and the relationship we build and need to build to monetize our knowledge and lived experiences. Regards to Substack, where I started building this year and have it as my homebase for all that i do, its a slow go with the last 10 post having an open rate of 25-75 % and I only had a few comments on 6 post and I got a couple DM's. The notes that i created that spoke directly to these post again got more comments than the post and I got some restacks. Slow and steady and trying to be consistent in what and how I am posting. I gave myself 2 months Jan-Feb to post one newsletter/post a week on Wednesday as free and then I started March-April with free on Wednesday and Paid only not behind paywall with 5 notes daily that lead to the full post. I am going to add a low offer product next week into the mix and i created a simple resource page from the Navigation Bar and will start using that link in notes and post on Substack staying within the guidelines to not get banned and using this link on other social and email signatures. I want simple and as tech free as possible so we will see how this works as I start placing some digital products and seeing what gets attention and what people ask me to create. I'm not wanting to build an online empire, I want to be able to connect with the right audience of buyers and support them, not the masses. I am fully aware trying to reach and serve everyone serves no one especially myself. Here to offer support and brainstorm so we all grow how and where we want.
