Inconsistency
Hey guys, I joined this community a few days ago because I was feeling motivated at the time, and now that the motivation has faded a bit, I think I wanna ask for some advice on how to flip it into discipline. I downloaded ScreenZen to help with my constant scrolling on insta, and it has substantially brought down my daily use. Apart from that tho, I still struggle with mindless consumption of bs and I realize I don’t even enjoy the slop I’m tangled in. It’s just a means of keeping myself busy. I have productive things I enjoy, but it’s hard to lose myself in them when I have easy rewards at my disposal at all times.
Welcome!
If you're reading this you're one of the first people in here and that means you're shaping what this place becomes. I built this because the comments and DMs I get are all saying the same thing. People know what they should be doing but they're doing it alone and that makes it 10x harder. So this is the place where you're not doing it alone anymore. Introduce yourself. Tell us what you're working on right now, what you're struggling with, what got you here. I hope this becomes a place where people actually talk, not just lurk. The course is in the classroom if you want structure, but the real value is in here. People going through the same stuff, calling each other out, sharing what's working and what isn't. I'll be posting regularly and I hope you do too. Ask questions, share wins, be honest about the days that don't go well. Those posts matter more than the highlight reel ones. Glad you're here.

@Cameron Walton Thanks, happy to be here I’m trying to work on music as something productive to ground myself in, but I really want to connect with more people. I have friends, really good ones but we’re splitting up for college this year. And I guess the main thing I’m afraid of is that life change and having to meet new people. I don’t want to look at it like I ‘have’ to.

@Cameron Walton I can totally understand that. I often try to control too much of my surroundings. Maybe because I feel a need to compensate for a lacking characteristic. I just read the self acceptance segment though, and it helped put my inner tone in perspective a bit.
