I had to quit my basketball team. My ma has to get brain surgery, and well. I’ll have to take care of her…

@Carlos Maalouf it’s alr
This is why you need a hook shot
Every short guard needs this shot! Being shorter than most of the competition means you have to play smarter. Crafty moves and quick thinking are your best friend. Getting blocked can be one of the worst feelings as a hooper. That’s why you need to master the hook shot! It allows you to lay the ball up right over a defender no matter their height. It’s virtually unguardable… the only factor is can you make the shot. Add this move to your bag! https://youtube.com/shorts/_p3cJzeMdCk?si=4j8mtPTEP6NzsTn-

Try this shooting workout!
We all know the feeling of a shooting slump… It can be one of the most frustrating things a hooper can face. Sometimes even getting shots up doesn’t feel like it’s making a difference. This shooting workout will help to get you out of that slump! Not only does it focus on flow, but it’ll help with game like reps to get you back in your rhythm! The real reason for your knee pain…
Do you constantly deal with knee pain after hoops? Believe it or not, your knees likely aren’t the issue. This might seem unrealistic but let me explain… Many times our knees absorb force that another body part is responsible for. Here are several examples: 1. Weak feet. They are first to touch the floor, and a key to athleticism. But when the arches collapse from shoes and overuse, the knees must absorb more force. 2. Poorly functioning hips. The hip flexors in the front are often COOKED from a lack of strength training. Lots of sitting will also make them tight. And another glute muscle called the glute medius is in charge of lateral movements. Often ignored in training plans, it can cause the knees to absorb more force when moving laterally. So try strengthening these muscles to see some results! Video: https://youtube.com/shorts/FSLfdm0gl4U?si=6SUp0gmbFWMo_1eB

How’s your season going???
Hey Hybrid Hoopers! Now that basketball season is underway how is it going for everyone? Which team did you make? How was tryouts? Make sure to stay humble and talk to your coach. Ask him lots of questions and don’t be shy. Make sure to be respectful it goes a long way. What are some things you’re learning as you go forward into this season? Let’s talk so everyone can learn something. I’m here to answer any questions as well!
