Pedals?
What is the groups overall thoughts on using pedals? I just purchased a tone pedal, so that I don't have to use multiple guitars when I have to drop down like for Kick Start My Heart, Some people have said it's better just to retune and other have said the pedal is the way to go.

@David Potter I'm starting to feel the same way.
Guitar players that have gone to heaven that you would like to jam with.
If there was one chance to jam with only ONE guitar player that has passed on, who would that be and what ONE song would you want to jam on? For me it would be Stevie Ray Vaughan. I would want to jam on Crossfire. Also if I had the chance to ask him for tips and suggestions that would be a bonus! I know there are so many great guitar players that have passed on, but SRV would be my first choice. https://youtu.be/t54xyIcgbks?si=wYjCFKS_uK19YkK5

To Jam would be Randy Rhoads or Stevie Ray Vaughan, to learn from would be Stevie or Prince. Princes solo in While My Guitar Gently Weeps is amazing.

@Nate McMillan As a fellow vet that battles PTSD, there are three orgs that can help. CreatiVets will help you put the pain to music and even record it with you. If you look them up on your favorite streaming service you can listen to some the great songs they have helped some of our brothers and sisters record. Also Guitars for Vets is where I started, they gave me 12 free lessons, once I finished those they gave me a guitar and we meet just to jam and be brothers once a month. Finally Cavarts , is an online community, they also have an G4V chapter with some videos. I have found through Guitars for Vets that Music is actually what feeling sound like. Keep your head up brother, and always remember if you suffer the disease wins but if you battle you have a chance.

I haven't really found a pick style yet, I know I don't like them too thin but I'm sure the thickness will come to me sooner or later.
