Did My First Cold "Free Work" Offer/Pitch...
For the last 10 days, I've been following entrepreneurs/coaches/various niches on iG and I've been reacting to their stories, etc. Some reacted or commented back :) I've also reached out to my own network of friends (two friends, to be precise lol, real estate agents). They are super busy; one gave me some time in person to chat to see what I do and the other wants to chat with me in a couple of weeks. At the meeting, I told him I'd do a small project for free to get a testimonial and he seemed open. He also wants me to network at his events. That's my in with him because he's a *huge* networker so I know he can push my name out. Now while my prospects on IG have been marinating for a few days, I've sent my first pitch for free work tonight. This guy has been chatting with me, thinking I'm interested in his course which tbh, is a side hustle for me and I'd love to learn more about it. But I never outright said I was interested in his course. But, I complimented him, congratulated him (saw he's been through hell and back and he still pushed through to be so successful) and then I ended it with a pitch to see if I can help him in a small way, for free. We'll see how it goes. I am not expecting a response back but hey, I faced a fear and went for it. My goal is to do 3 more tonight and 5 tomorrow.... and to normalize this process and remove anxiety from it.
