I think it’s a bad purchase especially if it does not have a chance to grade a 10 The hype is always really high at the beginning where the prices will settle down I see this card settling between the five to $600 range 4 to 6 weeks from now. My advice, unload it as soon as you can

@Nathan Quezada Send it in to a card restorer, they can repair lifted edges and hope for the best. I am trying that myself with a diff card

base set is solidified juggernaut. The big money is in the age group of growing up on the original 151 and there is many years left of people in our age group to continue making big money who will spend that money on the original 151

@Patrick Dunn I don’t want to dox the guy yet in case it is a case of him being overwhelmed and I am not looking to cause reputational harm to his business but I will dm you I will eventually post his info here if I don’t get some results next week

Quick update on this I sent an aggressive message threatening to escalate and he ended up calling me on video chat where we had a nice long conversation and helped me understand things. It sounded like it was a combination of personal issues he was dealing with along with being overwhelmed with the amount of business he has receiving. He ended up giving me a tracking number and they promised that it will be shipped out by Monday. The card was with him about a month, with it being my first time using this service, I was not used to what kind of timeline. I had also told him myself that the main thing that led to this was his lack of communication which he acknowledged. Even if the service takes two or three months, I am completely fine with that as long as it’s communicated properly and not given the impression that you sent your card to a guy that now is not responding and giving me false updates. I will post another update once I receive the card to confirm that it did end up being legit and hopefully this helps people understand what they are getting into if they use a card restoration service.
