Free samples at department stores
Do department stores give out free samples of fragrances if I just ask? Also how many can I get at once typically?
Buying fragrances on eBay
I have been looking for fragrances to buy on eBay. I have noticed that there are a lot that are way cheaper than retail. For example, one of the fragrances on my wish list is Arancia di Capri by Acqua di Parma. I found a listing on eBay for that fragrance, priced at $65. Another fragrance on my wish list is Oud for Greatness by Inito. I found a bottle on eBay for about $100. Are these legit? The sellers have a high rating and a lot of items sold. How are they able to sell it that cheap?

@Paul Bartnicki I saw this place called perfume empire. Prices are so cheap compared to retail. I saw this one Reddit thread that talked about it and it said it was legit. Are you familiar with it?
4711 value for money
So I have been interested in 4711 and the flankers, which the company calls remixes. My understanding is that it is a niche fragrance. Why is it so inexpensive? Does it not have natural essential oils or does it? I just want people's opinion on how much they like it compared to the price tag.

Making my own fragrance
I am hoping to make my own fragrances as a hobby. I have done some research and the way to make your own essential oils is through steam distillation. I would like to make my own essential oils if possible, instead of buying them at a store that sells them. I will of course buy the essential oil for anything that is way too difficult to make at home. Does anyone know of a good steam distillation kit? One that is on the cheaper side but still high quality for the money. I know I will need perfumers alcohol. What other materials and equipment do I need?

I guess I will start out by buying essential oils

Just wondering, is making a fragrance simply mixing up essential oils with perfumers alcohol at certain ratios? Then letting it age for a week or so
