Figuring out what fragrances I like
This is a bit of a weird question but I am genuinely wondering how I know if I like a fragrance. I sometimes can tell that I like something but then other times I'm waffling. Yesterday I tried on Tom Ford noir de noir and liked it because smells sweet at the beginning but then liked it less and less as the day went on and I was waffling cuz I like it oh I don't oh I like it and I don't I couldn't make up my mind. It smelled a little bit like more than words by Xerjoff which I tried a few days before that and love. Also I use the fragrance recommender on wiki perfume and I'm wondering how to make the most of the algorithm and not be too relaxed or strict on what I like or dislike.

@Roland Wright would I have been trying to do more recently is smell the fragrance on my wrist or whatever and then immediately put my arm down and then evaluate it without having the scent in range of my nose because I have been falling into the trap of smelling it over and over again and too long at any given time and then I fall into the problem of over analyzing

I have often wondered, does it make sense to intentionally smell of fragrance that I do know for a fact is one of the best I've ever smelled so that I have a baseline for something that is truly amazing? For me that would be like Arancia di Capri by Acqua di Parma, or Replica by the Fireplace, or oud minerale by Tom Ford, among others
Louis Vuitton Price Increases
Breaking news … you will now have to pay more for that Afternoon Swim that lasts all of 20 minutes on your skin. 😉 Actually, I have Imagination and L’immensite and love them both, so I can’t hate too much. I saw this in a local Facebook fragrance group and thought I would share. If you haven’t heard yet, Louis Vuitton fragrance prices went up this week ranging from $10 to $25 per bottle. • Eau De Parfums 100ML: $360 • Eau De Parfums 100ML Refills: $230 • Eau De Parfums 200ML: $510 • Eau De Parfums 200ML Refills: $375 • Extraits 100ML: $615 • Extrait 100ML Refills: $410 • Premium/Oud Collection 100ML: $455 • Premium/Oud Collection Refills 100ML: $280

@Mark Baker I don't know for sure but I will assume not.
Norwegian frag selection
I am leaving for a one week trip to Bergen, Norway. I am wondering if there are any brands to look out for. I am also wondering if there are fragrances from brands widely available in USA that might be easier to find in Norway. I know that I should stay away from 90 percent of all the fragrances in Norway because I can see them easily at my local department stores in Atlanta.

Free samples at department stores
Do department stores give out free samples of fragrances if I just ask? Also how many can I get at once typically?
Buying fragrances on eBay
I have been looking for fragrances to buy on eBay. I have noticed that there are a lot that are way cheaper than retail. For example, one of the fragrances on my wish list is Arancia di Capri by Acqua di Parma. I found a listing on eBay for that fragrance, priced at $65. Another fragrance on my wish list is Oud for Greatness by Inito. I found a bottle on eBay for about $100. Are these legit? The sellers have a high rating and a lot of items sold. How are they able to sell it that cheap?

@Paul Bartnicki I saw this place called perfume empire. Prices are so cheap compared to retail. I saw this one Reddit thread that talked about it and it said it was legit. Are you familiar with it?
