I’ve decided that I’m going to start taking a guitar to work with me so I can practice on my breaks, so I bought a new guitar from a pawnshop.

spent sunday in the recording studio working on a friends album. this was one of the many cool instruments they had laying around. It was talked about in another post i made.. finally got to play one.

I know Pete from college and played in a band with him for a while. He moved to Texas and toured with the Beatnik Bandits as their bassist before they split up. This is one of the projects he’s currently involved with that I think is pretty awesome. Definitely worth a listen https://open.spotify.com/track/1OghSwZu1pT99DANn9V0kR?si=wNFNQNyATCGGOCuxIbNB7g&utm_source=copy-link

Wrote the riff figure id do something with if before my shoulder surgery currently post op 2 weeks of six in a sling hope everyone is well (don't shame me too bad still learning scales and lead)

So, I know I posted a while ago about issues with my IYV headless being tuned and staying in tune once restring. The issue was the locking mechanism was crap and the bridge wasn’t great either. Well, about $45 dollars later I have a new locking mechanism and bridge and it is staying in tune and pretty fun to play. Total spent on project $165. $120 for the guitar, $35 the bridge, and $10 the nut.
