Up-cycling fun
My husband has gone away for a couple of weeks. I love the man but you would not believe the freedom I feel and suddenly every room is full of creativity projects. Mainly that I dont have to stop at mealtimes or to watch our TV shows etc. Ridiculous! I sat and made a list of jobs to do while he is away and then projects I have started and some that I want to do but need space and time to do. So yesterday I dug out my pink fabric and got going. This is a sewing box I spotted in a charity shop while out with my eldest daughter. She secretly bought it for me as I said it was in such a sad state and must have been well-loved over the years. Anyway I wish I had taken more photos before as the inside was a total mess of moth eaten red silky stuff and I have used an old dress I picked up at the free-cycle with red french words and little red flowers.I may get some ribbon to edge the top inside at some point but I am happy for now. It would not stand up to a close look from a professional upholsterer but looks cute in my bedroom

Space reset
I’ve been considering a reset for my sewing space. It became a pitch it space for everything I didn’t want to deal with. I’ve separated my junk from my sewing and decluttering. Hope to have it done by the end of the month. Anyone else reset their space often? Got any tips? Starting today doing the six week cleanup of my creative space. It’s in the classroom. Has anyone done this yet? How did it go?

Hi Lisa. I feel like I am constantly re-tidying my space. The main problem is that it’s my bedroom too so I have to put away most things each day. However, im always rushing and end up with a series of trays with bits on then a pile of trays. I will have a look at the 6 week reset. Maybe there are answers there for me. Looking forward to updates. Good luck x

So I read step one of the 6 week programme and slept on it. Some great questions there. Then I went shopping with tidying and sorting in mind. (Hmmm really..) I found a 3 level trolley in Action. My neighbours husband saw it and said Are you making you making yourself a sewing trolley? Oh… well I hadn’t thought of that. So I now have a sewing trolley and need another trip to Action for another trolley 🤣

How lovely to hear your voice and hear about your recovery. Well done Lynda!
A Little Inspiration Piece and a Thank You.
Thank you for your prayers and concern. Recovery is slow but progressive and my pain level has diminished by at least 30% and I'm told it will improve even more as I fully recover. My biggest problem right now is fatigue. So I'm taking lots of naps and then some more naps, and a few naps in between naps. LOL. I hope life is being kind to all of you. Please stay safe and, of course, stay scrap happy!
