Referral links
I’m looking at going to Responsibid and Jill’s Office. Both have steep $500 to $600 startup costs. @Benjamin Millen, do you have any referral links / discount codes? BTW, I’m locked and loaded currently with House Call Pro but I have been unimpressed with their answer service.
Vinyl window oxidation
Here in South Carolina we have a huge problem with vinyl windows oxidizing. As soon as my mop touches the frame all that powder gets pulled onto the glass. It basically becomes white paint at this point and makes a mess of everything, including my squeegee rubber. Has anyone else experienced this? If you have, how do you deal with it?

I think the original question was about vinyl windows. Definitely don’t use abrasive tools or cleaners with that! For vinyl windows, I only follow the manufacturers recommendations and if that doesn’t clean it, I’m not gonna use anything special without the customer signing a waiver and up charging.
Mileage Tracking Apps
Do any of you guys use automatic mileage tracking apps? I'm testing out the free version of MileIQ. It's easy to use and convenient but it only tracks 40 drives per month for free. It seems to be very convenient but don't know if it's worth the $90 per year. How do you track mileage?

A good mileage app will pay for itself in a heartbeat if you’re using a personal vehicle. Also, technically, even for a work truck my CPA recommended that I track every trip. If you ever were audited by the IRS, they may ask for these details. There are devices out there that you can install in your work truck that will automatically track every trip for you so you don’t have to mess with that.
Roof washing
How effective is the x jet for roof washing?

I’ve never tried an Xjet for roof washing but sounds interesting. If you use straight 12% SH with the Xjet, I would think this would work. There are videos online with people doing it. You should get a 3-1 mix with an 8 gpm machine without any proportioners which gives you 4% SH. You might have to go over some spots twice if that’s not hot enough but I usually start at 4% for most roofs. Also, you can use an Xjet with a lower GPM machine and get an even hotter mix. You’ll just need to make sure you use a separate water hose for spraying down the plants, etc. And most importantly, don’t take my advice with roof washing. Always test test test!
Human Virtual Receptonist
We’ve been using Voice AI to handle calls when we’re unable to answer the phone. Overall, it does a solid job, but we’ve noticed that a number of callers hang up as soon as they realize they’re speaking with an AI. I don't know how many people hanging up are potential customers vs. salespeople calling to sell me something. @Benjamin Millen — I’ve heard you mention on your YouTube channel that you use an answering service for appointment setting. Would you or others mind sharing what you use or recommend?
