Re-releasing I Don’t Dwell — Taking an out-of-print book back to market
Sharing a quick win today: I just brought my book, I Don’t Dwell, back into the world after a decade out of print. For anyone who doesn’t know the backstory: I spent 38 years sick in one form or another—childhood anxiety, a bipolar diagnosis in my twenties, and an MS diagnosis at 37. Over 14 months, things shifted radically. I received a clean bill of health, and today I walk fine. I’m not a doctor, and I don't sell protocols, diets, or cures. What I teach—in the book and in my community—is simple and free: how to stop bracing, catch the mind when it runs ahead into a scary future, and return to where your feet actually are. I wrote the account in 2014, before I fully understood what had happened. Today, I re-released it. It’s live on Kindle ($2.99).

@Donna Thornton "When you revisited something you wrote back in 2014, did you find yourself seeing your own story differently now?" This biggest thing, it proved to me that memory is faulty. I felt really odd to read it back.
My favorite partner in crime turns 60 today! ❤️🎂
Todd and I met in second grade. SECOND GRADE! Can you believe that? 😂 I never could have imagined back then that the little boy I met at school would become my best friend, my husband, and the person I'd share so much of my life with. Now here we are, building Skoolology together. Who would have thought? 😂 Todd is one of the funniest (not as funny as me 🤣), most generous people I know. He's creative, always coming up with ideas, and a tech wizard who can figure out just about anything. I still don't know how his brain works half the time! He makes me laugh, challenges my thinking, believes in me, and makes me want to be a better person. And I love that after all these years, we're still dreaming up new things to do together. Of course, I have some competition for his attention these days. Nick absolutely adores him! I'm pretty sure our cat thinks Todd hung the moon. Honestly, I can't blame him. ❤️ We've been through a lot of life together since second grade. Some wonderful, some hard, and plenty we never saw coming. I wouldn't trade our story for anything. Happy 60th birthday, Todd! I love you, and I'm so glad we found each other all those years ago. ❤️ Since so many of you are part of this latest adventure of ours, I thought it would be fun to celebrate him right here in Skoolology. If you have a birthday wish, a little wisdom for turning 60, or a good old-man joke, I’d love for you to leave it for Todd in the comments. 🐼❣️ I'd love for him to see a whole lot of love (and maybe a little teasing) today! 😂 And Todd, just so you know, I fully intend to keep getting us into trouble for many more years to come! 😂🐼

Happy Birthday, @Todd Thornton ! I hope you have a happy and healthy year ahead! 🙏
We've got a birthday to celebrate!🎂
It's someone who has become a very dear friend of mine, @Christy Keeter ❤️ Christy, where do I even begin? You have such a heart for people. You're always encouraging someone, sharing what you've learned, or finding a way to help somebody take that next step. And I love that about you! For those of you who haven't met Christy yet, she's the heart behind Building Digitally with Christy, where she helps people explore building an online business, find their footing, and take those first steps without feeling like they have to know everything. She's building something that reflects who she is. Generous, encouraging, grounded in faith, and genuinely wanting to see other people succeed. But here's what I really want to celebrate today. The friend behind the community. Christy, I'm so glad Skool brought us together. What started as a connection between two community builders has become a friendship I truly treasure. Today, I hope you get to be on the receiving end of all that love and encouragement you're so good at giving everyone else! Happy Birthday, my sweet friend! ❤️ Skoolology friends, help me make Christy's day a little brighter!

An interesting $7 membership experiment to watch!
I came across something this morning that I thought some of you might find interesting! I've followed Bushra Azhar for quite a few years. She's built a substantial business through memberships and low-ticket offers, and now she's bringing a new experiment to Skool. It's called The 1,000 Member Experiment, and she's starting with a $7/month membership. What caught my attention is that she's inviting people to follow along as she builds, sharing her decisions, numbers, what's working, and what isn't. Her community is already showing 288 members! I know several of us have wrestled with whether to charge for our communities, how much to charge, and what makes a membership worth paying for. And yes, I know we've been talking about not chasing every shiny new thing that comes along! That's actually part of why I wanted to share this. I think there's a difference between chasing someone else's strategy and being curious enough to learn from what they're doing. Bushra already has an established audience and years of experience, so her results may look very different from what a newer builder might experience. But I'm curious to see what she tests, what works, what doesn't, and why. I'm planning to follow along and bring back anything I learn that might be useful for us to explore together. Here's the link if you'd like to take a look: 1000 Member Experiment **(It is not an affiliate link.)** It's a paid community, and there's certainly no expectation that anyone needs to join. I just thought it was an interesting experiment worth keeping an eye on. And I'm curious... For those of you still figuring out your pricing, what's been the hardest part? And for those who've settled on a price, what helped you decide?

I run a free community, that feels right to me. They can upgrade if they choose and get more support from me. I run the Inner Healer School, and my goal is for this organization to be a non-profit. I was sick and disabled for 38 years, now I'm healthy. I healed by not trying to heal myself - my inner healer did the healing.

☕🐼 Builder's Morning | What If You Already Have What You Need?
Good morning, builders! Have you ever caught yourself thinking, "Maybe THIS is what I've been missing!" Another free guide. Another blueprint. Another course. Another community. Another strategy that promises to finally make things click. And just like that, we're excited again! There's some fascinating brain science behind this. Our brains are drawn to novelty and the anticipation of reward. The possibility of discovering something valuable can feel motivating, especially when we're frustrated with our progress. Here's where it gets interesting. Finding another answer can FEEL like making progress, even when we haven't done anything differently. We collect information. Save resources. Join conversations. Fill our notebooks with ideas. Meanwhile, that course we purchased is still waiting. The advice someone gave us hasn't been tried. The people who could help us are already sitting in our communities. And we're off looking for the next thing! I've certainly been guilty of this myself. But I've been thinking about what happens when we stop collecting answers long enough to actually USE one. To try it. Give it some time. Pay attention to what happens. Make adjustments. Learn something we couldn't have learned just by reading about it. Because sometimes the missing piece isn't more information. It's what we haven't done with the information we already have. Now, I'm not suggesting we stop learning or exploring. Sometimes a fresh perspective really does change everything. But I wonder how much further we might get if we became as curious about applying what we've learned as we are about discovering something new. Here's something to think about this morning... Before you go looking for your next answer, what's one thing you already have that you haven't fully put to work yet?

The mind is always in constant search, never satisfied. Take a breath, then take action, you really do have everything you need. I have so many things out there that I'm not fully using, I think for me it's a matter of pruning.
