Gucci Guilty Absolu de Parfum (First Impression)
GG Absolu de Parfum opens with rum, a big dose of orange blossom that clings with the tonka, amazing nuttiness from almond, and a bit of freshness from bergamot. Once it settles a bit, you can get some more sweetness from tonka, a touch of neroli and labdanum, and some soft red chilli pepper. I’ve never smelled a fragrance that had red chilli pepper, but it adds a bit of fresh and green spice. As it dries down more, it becomes more resinous from the benzoin, and the sweetness transitions from tonka to vanilla. The leather is super soft and adds this metallic-like property to it, similar to Spicebomb Metallic Musk I tried yesterday but softer. It’s powdery, creamy, boozy, floral, and vanillic. A really good combo and notes that are blended super nicely. Not as spicy as the Elixir but no complaints about it. I previously tried Gucci Guilty Love Edition, and I wished for the orange blossom to be less “sunscreenish”, and they have nailed it with this one. Gucci are the masters of orange blossom in my opinion, and they nailed it with this one. I’d recommend this to anyone who loves Gucci fragrances or perfumes like PDM Pegasus with a twist. Like I mentioned earlier, I feel my skin’s not optimal now because I don’t feel like it’s lasting as long as it should. Apparently, it has similar performance to GG Elixir, and that one’s a beast mode fragrance. But I could barely get over 6 hours, and it projected very intimately. So the performance should be between 10 to 12 hours. Just for the scent, it’s 8.8/10. Nothing groundbreaking, but this might be the peak of the GG line. If it performs like how it’s supposed to, then I would give it a 9.2/10. I would pick this over Elixir for now, but I might change my mind after a full wearing of Elixir. Getting them both is redundant. Sample before buying. So what do you think of GG Absolu de Parfum?
