Everything you desire, is on the other side of fear.
Something I had seen in a movie actually, Atomic Blonde. Often attributed to George Addair though. This statement about how difficult it is to surpass an obstacle, which requires you to tear off a piece of yourself in order to grow: It would always hit me like a feather. Not because I did not have desires and goals in life, but because I was not aware of just how much I had to change, in order to achieve those goals. I was not aware, or even in the mode and position, to experience the furnace of mending and sharpening your body and mind. Then I had seen this during a scene of that movie, in a Berlin nightclub, in neon lighting. It was not a flip of a switch for me, but it certainly set off a spark in my mind as to how I needed to approach my willingness and embrace vulnerability, to achieve the more daring goals and feats. When you want to become a mountain hiker, you do not start with Mount Everest. But! There is this challenge you face, when eventually you want to face and conquer your "Mount Everest", in which you have to be willing to face your fears, of being vulnerable, of allowing those old parts of you to be flayed off. There is a required process of burning off those old layers, to allow your self that chance to blossom. Take Care, Austin
