I live in Queensland, Australia, and I design sewing patterns and fabric that help people create garments men love to wear — because meaningful gifts become lasting bonds. Often a question relegated to primary school, but why not relive our youth a little. 🥰 Do these two things: 1. Share your favourite colour and why. 2. Then comment on someone else's favourite colour and share what that colour evokes for you. This is quick yet meaningful. Colour is all around us as inspiration. I will go first: Pink. I wear it often. Mum and Dad painted my room Pink and Blue when I was growing up. I find that an amazing thing to do for me. In this age of designer homes - they made this space just for me. My room was a bit of a hallway to the other bedrooms, so everyone walked through it - and everyone had to experience the brilliance of my pastel pink and blue room. 😅 I also wear blue a lot too.

I want to share a decision I’ve been sitting with, and why I feel really good about it. With Skool’s updates this week around spam detection and engagement signals, it’s now much easier to tell who’s genuinely here to create, learn, and participate, and who isn’t. That changes what’s possible for this community as a solo business owner. Because of that, I’ve decided to open the Pocket Square Club up as a free community again, with the option to grow into tiered access over time. I know a change like this can raise questions, so I want to be clear and reassuring: This isn’t about lowering the quality of the space. It's about protecting it better. Payment was never the true indicator of alignment. Participation is. Care is. Making things and sharing the process is. The new tools mean those qualities are easier to see and support, without relying on a paywall to do the filtering. I’m increasingly convinced that alignment, not payment, is the real filter. If someone joins just to lurk, scrape, or self-promote, the platform will now surface that. If someone shows up, participates, and actually cares about the work, they rise to the top. That makes a tiered, value-based community model suddenly make sense: - Free to enter. - Clear pathways to contribute. - Deeper access earned through engagement or paid upgrades. It feels much more aligned with how creativity, learning, and real business relationships form, not behind a paywall, but inside a shared practice. I will adjust this as soon I post this. You will see FREE back on the About page. If you’re already here, showing up, sewing, sharing, and contributing, nothing is being taken away from you. If anything, this gives us more room to grow the right way, welcoming people who genuinely want to be here while keeping the heart of the community intact.
