Support Is Key
How supportive/involved has your partner been in your pregnancy or during birth? *One of the most crucial things, IMO, is a partner who is both physically and emotionally supportive throughout the pregnancy, birth and post Partum period. I know it seems like it goes without saying that this is super important and seems like it would be an obvious thing but I’ve heard several stories lately, (and experienced myself), some spouse/partners that were Less than helpful or supportive… or too overboard or trying to micro manage everything, so much that they were a joy-suck! Why is this? - they just don’t know what/how to be supportive in this new role? - they have their own priorities? - Overwhelmed with all the new info and not sure where they fit in - They just can’t even begin to understand, all the various changes happening in our bodies, hormones, emotions etc. I’d love to know your opinion on this topic or share your personal story if you feel comfortable doing so… :)

My husband was supportive in his own way.. lol He isn't the best communicator, but was there for me. When we took the birth class together, I realized he wasn't just along for the ride, he was actually paying attention, and knew me better than I thought. It was really sweet and comforting. We had a rough experience, and knowing I had a strong partner to go in with, made things a lot less stressful. I imagine that if I didn't trust him, it would have been worse.
Being pregnant…
Everyone has their own opinion on being pregnant, and I’d like to know yours… How do you feel about being pregnant?

I love the beauty of it, but my pregnancy was hard, and stressful.. I don't like how I feel, but I love that it brings life.
