What Feels Hard Right Now? 🌿
When you can ask yourself the hard questions and know there is support out there gardening comes easier. One thing I struggle with is editing my garden. I have a hard time getting rid of plants that have reseeded themselves but once I get started my garden starts to breathe a sigh of relief. What is hard for you in the garden?

Knowing when to plant annuals and when to thin out or divide perennial plants.

@Tawnya Gray I planted most of mine right after mother’s day
Level 2: Day 4 - Ask for support
I’m currently working on starting onions from seed. The part I feel stuck on is they weren’t sprouting well covered by straw. The support I would love is information on how others have successfully grown sweet onions from seed. One question I have is mulch or no?

@Tawnya Gray in a baby pool with dirt and compost and it had straw on top but I took most of it off
Gather & Ground Sunday 🌿
Before the new week begins, take a few quiet minutes to gather your thoughts 💭, ground yourself in what matters, and choose one simple focus for the days ahead. What is your one steady step this week? So far today, my youngest son and I have re-arranged the sick bay/coop for one of our injured hens and are getting it ready for when our chicks (just hatching now) get to go out to the coop. Of Course that's over 6 weeks out but we are excited. My focus this week will be: ❓Answering any questions anyone might have.❓ 🌹Fertilizing my Roses🌹 🌻sitting down and redefining my back garden area (Flower Farm) to be more inviting and less like rows of flowers.🌻 ✨Oh and don't forget to like 👍 and comment 🗨️ on this post. It helps bring the community up on the discovery page for others to find. ✨ One last thing, on Wednesdays I will be doing a Happy Hour Hangout LIVE, Come join me and just chat, it is just a community after all. 🥰

Trying to get my chicken coop finished!
What’s Working Wednesday ✨
Midweek is a good time to pause and notice what is actually going well. Not what still needs to be done. Not what feels unfinished. Not what you wish you were further along on. Just one thing that is working right now. Maybe your plants are finally perking up. Maybe your kitchen stayed a little cleaner this week. Maybe you remembered to water, prep, mend, plan, rest, or start again. Maybe you simply showed up in a small way. Those little wins matter here. Today’s prompt: What is one thing that is working for you right now, no matter how small? Share your Wednesday win below so we can celebrate the progress that often gets overlooked. ✨🌿

My potatoes are blooming!
Day 3 - Choose one simple project 🌱
My Micro-Homestead project is growing sunflowers. 🌻 I chose this because I want to grow food for my chickens and wild birds.I already have 9 plant starts I just planted outside. I still need to help them grow big. By the end of this challenge, I want to feel like I am on the path to self sufficiency.

@Tawnya Gray I have 16 - 8 week old chickens living in a tent in my garage 🤣 I am currently building their coop. They get fresh dandelions and clover most days and they love it! I love that my yard is a no-spray area and the “weeds” are good for everyone!
