Why Your Promo Posts Are Being Ignored (And How To Add Personality So People Actually Give A Toss) Come and join me LIVE in THE CLASSIFIEDS this Saturday, well maybe Friday for you, dont get me started on TIMEZONES pfffff Let’s be frank. OBVS. Most promo posts aren’t being ignored because your offer is rubbish. They’re being ignored because they’ve been SAFE-IFIED. Polite-ified. Professional-ified. Stripped of the very thing that makes someone actually CARE. And I see this ALL THE EFFIN’ TIME. I’ve been doing businessing 25+ years. Dance. Yoga. Meditation. Events. Promo. Agency world. Online since 2017. I’ve built epic communities from scratch. I’ve helped humans go from “uhm I don’t know what to say” to “HOLY GUACAMOLE THAT ACTUALLY LANDED” in about five minutes flat. I can spot a personality-stripped promo post from a mile off. PFFFFT. It’s like when someone says “I’m fine” and you know they’re absolutely not fine. Same energy. Here’s what usually happens… You’ve got something TOTES EPIC AF. You care about it. You believe in it. But when it’s time to promote, you tidy yourself up. You soften the edges. You remove the opinion. You take out the humour. You take out the weird analogy. You take out the rant. You take out the “did she just say that?” bit. And suddenly your promo reads like it’s wearing someone else’s shoes. Too tight. Too shiny. Not yours. Pfffft. Technically fine. Emotionally flat. Humans don’t buy because something is “clear.” Don’t get me wrong, clear is coo saucel. Clear is helpful. But clear with no personality is like… plain toast. Dry. No butter. No jam. No crunchy stuff. No one’s queuing up for that. Clear with no personality is like a dating profile that says “I enjoy long walks and food.” Cool story bro. So does everyone. They buy because something feels RELEVANT. SPECIFIC. Like you get them. Like you’ve been inside their brain for five minutes and nicked their inner monologue. That’s human behaviour, not hack-y nonsense.

@Mimi Ramsey Time moves in mysterious ways. :)
Do you ever have one of those days...
when you are eating breakfast, for example, and yes, life is good, grateful all that stuff? But those uncontrollable tears just pop up out of nowhere, and you are like wtf is this (yes, I am having one of those ones)

Yes, I do. When I have been working too hard, emotionally, intellectually and physically for a too long time without enough of rest. I do not mean like one night's of sleep. I mean like a full weekend without anything but rest and fun. If I also have not slept enough, moved my body enough, eaten well enough and got some kind of emotional "togetherness" with somebody I truly love, then it comes faster. Like as if any strong emotion is duplicated with 10 and comes with 10 times the speed. It is also then I tend to start doubting everything and anything and everyone and because of that gets stuck in my head, instead of just taking the next step of action, no matter how tiny, forward. To me this is a signal that my inner self needs to be better taken care of. The sooner the better. But that is me. I do not say that this is you.

Engagement doesn’t always come from excitement. It comes from SAFETY + CLARITY. Calm humans = clicky humans. HELLO.

Money IS freedom to me, without it I can not buy myself the everyday aids that I need and the adaption of car, house and so on.
📊 DAY TWO DATA DROP — The OWNED SOCIAL FEED EXPERIMENT
Alright — here’s where things stand today. 👀 60 about-page visitors ✍️ 23 signups ⚡ 38.33% conversion rate 🏆 Discovery rank: #272 (yesterday #193 — yep, we dipped, but it’s all data) 💰 0 paid — still not what this is about ⚙️ Notes from Day 2 📩 I’ve now shared the feed link across my socials, 1,000-email list, and my Back Room Skool community (100+ members). No signs of it showing up on Google yet — which I expected. It can take weeks or even months for Skool posts to index, so this part’s the long game. 📊 Still haven’t started tracking Facebook vs Skool reach — that begins from today as I start posting my regular content here too. 🧠 Reflections Even with early numbers, early days... it will take a while to see patterns. No funnels. No ads. Just organic visibility and curiosity. And this part is key — this isn’t a community; it’s a social feed. No classrooms. No events. No algorithms. Just a space to see what happens when you own your own visibility instead of renting it from platforms that change the rules daily. 🪄 Coming Next → Start posting more regular content here (copy, stories, rants, ideas, YouTube videos). → Begin Facebook vs Skool data tracking. → Keep watching discovery + SEO performance. It’s not about going viral It’s about getting visible, consistently, authentically, and on your own turf. Let’s see what Day 3 brings. 📅 Day 2 — logged. #OwnedSocials #SkoolExperiment #DataDrop
