Quick End of January check-in 👇
I’ve been following my own plan properly for the last 3 & a half weeks and I’m just over 3kg down. Nothing extreme. Not cutting everything out. What’s actually made the difference is structure. Every single day I’ve: - Hit my step target - Prioritised protein - Stayed in a calorie deficit Not perfectly, but consistently. The biggest lesson for me is this: Motivation didn’t cause the results. Structure did. Once the plan is clear, you stop negotiating with yourself every day. You just execute. If fat loss has felt up and down for you before, it’s rarely effort that’s missing. It’s usually clarity and consistency. Curious to hear from others in here… What part do you find hardest to stay consistent with, steps, food, or training?

Hey man, quick question first, how long before your workout are you eating this? The reason I ask is fats digest much slower than carbs and protein. For them to actually contribute to energy, you’re usually looking at 2-3 hours before training, sometimes longer. If it’s closer to your session, fats like nuts won’t really help much with workout fuel and for some people they can even feel a bit heavy. Carbs and protein digest and become usable much quicker, which is why they tend to work better pre-workout. The banana + coffee combo makes sense for quick energy and focus. The nuts aren’t a bad choice overall, they’re just not doing much for that specific pre-workout window unless the timing is earlier. Everyone’s different of course, just comes down to digestion and timing 👍
Hey everyone 👋I’m Arron.
First time introducing myself in here. I joined because I love the energy of a reset season and being around people who are actually taking action instead of just talking about it. I’m big on training, building consistency, and keeping things simple enough that you can stick to it when life gets busy. I’m here to stay active in the group, share value where I can, and get around others who are pushing for a better year. Looking forward to connecting with you all and seeing everyone’s progress through 2026 🔥 What’s the main goal you’re chasing right now, fat loss, strength, fitness, or just feeling better day to day?
