1 contribution to Superhuman
The bittersweet end of an era for the SH community!
Hey Superhuman Fam, It's been over 3 years, 400+ classes and tons of fun since starting up this amazing community. My life has been impacted in so many positive ways by every single one of you. Our lives have changed so much during the pandemic but we stayed strong and kept our bodies moving. Over the years, we've kept things fun, fresh and challenging. So much growth...and so many different places that we did workouts from. Especially me! Don't forget the names ... remember burnscience? lifegenics? ah, the good ol' memories of searching for an identity. My favorite was lifegenics FYI! One thing you probably know about me by now is that I'm always looking to improve and continue to develop myself and the people around me. That has led me to really think about my current capacity and where I want to go next with my life, my next ventures and of course, where we want to go as a fitness community. Before I dive into any of that too much, I first had to think long and hard about my capacity for live classes as that is the centerfold of value for our community (at least that's my perspective). We currently stand at roughly 3 classes per week / 12 classes per month, with each workout being 100% unique to the one before. Speaking of ... I've NEVER done the same workout twice. With over 400 workouts ... thats an impressive feat and I commend all of you for joining me on that journey! With my desire to travel more, as well as unexpected events such as tech issues, injuries, illness, location, burnout and a SLEW of other factors... keeping up with this kind of schedule (as you can probably imagine) is becoming more and more difficult. Add to that our attendance on live classes averaging around 3 people (without really increasing over the last 6 months) and the operation (as a business) also becomes a bit cost prohibitive to say the least. My passion to coach and improve the lives of the people in this community is what has driven me to continue delivering the live classes. I believe that, at this point, a lot of that work is done and the classes that can make the real impact and have made the real impact...have been completed. With so many classes available on-demand and our current low live class attendance rate (with the world changing back to normal, work schedules and other factors)...I have to make some tough decisions on whether it makes sense to continue our live class schedule.

Itโ€™s good to be transparent and everyone needs a break. The person who introduced me to skool is Mitch wilder and you may want to look at some of his content as you navigate your next journey in your business. Heโ€™s skool.com/flywheel and heโ€™s a genius. Heโ€™s helped us pivot to giving our community what it needs both in person and online without the burnout. Sometimes we just need another perspective. You were one of the first skool groups I saw with a growing membership and paid! No easy feat. Cheers to your next chapter
