HIGH LEVEL GROUP WORKOUT TODAY
Starting our high-level high school group today... we are going to film it and give a "behind the scenes" view for you guys. What do you want to see?

love that “no gathering” first step finish. Mikayla Blakes at Vanderbilt WBB scores off of that at least a couple of times per game. I plan to work on that with my daughter this week.
🚨 If You Could Only Train 3 Things for the Next 30 Days… What Are You Picking?
You’re only allowed to focus on training THREE areas of your game for the next month. (Applies to Players and Trainers) Comment your 3 below 👇 Examples: - Catch & shoot 3s - Weak-hand finishing - Tight handles under pressure - Conditioning - Mid-range pull-ups - Defense - Game-speed decision making After you comment your 3, reply to someone else and tell them: What they’re missing OR what you would replace I'll start with the first comment.

This is a great question. All of these are good. I’m actually helping my daughter prepare for the upcoming travel season. As we think about the skills that college coaches will look for we are prioritizing… 1. Conditioning (high motor) 2. Catch & Shoot (ability to space the floor) 3. Game-speed decision making The defense is also important

@Daniel Cooper My daughter has been with the same travel organization since she was in the 6th grade and they prioritized development , which has been great. Last year that travel organization played on the Puma circuit and there were not any coaches at the live period tournaments. We made the tough decisions to move to Duval Elite this year, they will play on the Power24 circuit. Duval Elite has relationships with many colleges coaches and they have a track record of helping girls get scholarships to play in college at all levels D1,d2, d3, JUCO and NAIA. I think we should get more exposure AND development. My daughter is in the 10th grade. https://www.instagram.com/duvalelite?igsh=MW54eDQyODU5ZGxuZA==

Hi - I'm new here and this film study alone makes this community so valuable. I have someone that breaks down my daughter's games, just like this and does video film study with her. She is in a similar situation as Shay. My daughter is strong with the ball and can get paint touch A LOT. She will attract 2 or 3 defenders and she needs to spray/kick it out. As the person carrying a heavy scoring load, she struggles with should she kick it, where there is a good chance her teammate will not make the shot or if she should take the contested finish or shot. We've been working on her "making the right basketball read". She's a high school sophomore. As we prepre for travel season, we told her that college coaches will look for players that have high IQ so make the right basketball decision. That will translate to the next level when you hopefully have better scorers around you. This is really great material. Thanks
