glazing putty no adhesion to PUR bumper.
• experiencing poor adhesion of Evercoat Polyflex glazing putty to a PUR bumper, despite proper surface preparation (sanding, washing, plastic cleaner). • The putty easily scratches off, leaving a yellow residue. • The user suspects the product may not be suitable for PUR due to its declining popularity. My idea is to spray the bumper with epoxy primer as ive been told its a great base and will allow paint and clear to flex, and help mitigate rockchips. Its down to plastic that light blue stuff is leftovers of factory primer its sanded with 180 btw and is slick as an egg. Yes its clean for sure im thinking maybe 180 is too fine for this plastic.

@Slava Basatski Thank you. So the product you have says that it can't be used on PU / PUR. Only on tpo. I have sent images and the TDS in previous messages of the products I use. The R32 bumpers are PUR.

@Slava Basatski What is the cure time for the epoxy? I have 2 epoxy primers in my shop. They both have a have a flash time of 1h before ypu can put on a top coat, and upto 14 days for one of them before it needs sanding again (when it's fully cured and no longer open). Neither of them are you allowed to put filler on to unless the epoxy is fully cured. So check that data if your putting filler on top. If you are leaving it to air dry it could be 24h to 14 days before its cured. For me personally I would always put in adhesion promoter onto plastic parts. Even if I use epoxy. Again, check the TDS and if it says it's fine then I would carry on. Just follow the flash times and cure times
