How to Use Claude AI Without Sounding Like AI
Most people are making AI way harder than it needs to be. Claude isn’t here to magically write a perfect book for you. That’s not the goal. The real value is using it to make the process faster, smoother, and less overwhelming so you actually finish your book. ➡️ The way I look at it is simple: use Claude for the parts where you get stuck. If you’re sitting there staring at a blank page, that’s when you bring it in. If your ideas feel messy or you’re not sure how to structure your book, that’s when it helps the most. You don’t need it for every single step—just the ones slowing you down. Where I see people go wrong is they jump straight into “write my book.” That’s not the move. Claude is way more powerful at the beginning stages. I’d start by using it to brainstorm ideas, come up with angles, and build out an outline. Once you have direction, everything else becomes easier. Another thing that makes a huge difference is how much context you give it. The more you feed it...your notes, your rough drafts, even messy thoughts—the better it performs. This is kind of the cheat code. Most people give one sentence and expect magic, but Claude works best when it actually understands what you’re trying to do. 💥 I also wouldn’t treat it like a writer. I’d treat it like an editor. Instead of asking it to create everything from scratch, I’d use it to clean things up. Make your writing clearer. Make it sound more natural. Tighten sections that feel too long. That’s where it really shines and where you’ll still keep your voice. And don’t try to do everything in one shot. Work in smaller sections. Focus on a paragraph, a section, or a specific idea at a time. You’ll get way better results than trying to generate an entire chapter all at once. At the end of the day, Claude is only as good as how you guide it. If you’re vague, the output will be vague. If you’re clear and specific, it becomes a really powerful tool. But it’s not replacing you. It still needs your direction, your ideas, and your voice.

Truly excellent advice @Krista Brea! There are quite a few people who are beginning their journey and just giving everythingt to AI without context or input, it means nothing to an LLM. At the end of the day, AI a "computer," and needs to be utilized just as you would any other piece of technology - a TOOL to assist you, not replace your thoughts.

‼️ NEW KDP RULES ROLLED OUT
🚨 BIG UPDATE 🚨 Amazon just rolled out a new policy change for KDP… and this one is kind of wild 😳 Starting immediately, outsourcing is no longer allowed. That means: - You have to write your own manuscript - No AI tools - No ghostwriters Everything must be 100% written by YOU moving forward. Welp… looks like I’m finally going to have to sit down and start writing all my own books 😅 … .. .. … April Fools 😂 But real talk—this is exactly why learning how to build systems around your publishing (including outsourcing) is such a game-changer. It’s how you scale without burning yourself out.

This Is Why Your Book Isn’t Selling 👀
📚 Most Authors Skip This… and It’s Costing Them Sales If your book isn’t converting the way you expected, there’s a good chance you’re missing one of the easiest upgrades you can make to your listing… 👉 A+ Content. This is the section on your Amazon listing where you can add visuals, graphics, and enhanced descriptions—and it’s one of the most overlooked opportunities in self-publishing. Most authors either: - Don’t know it exists - Think it’s complicated - Or just never get around to doing it Meanwhile… It’s sitting there as free marketing space that can help your book stand out and actually convert browsers into buyers. Think about it like this: Your cover gets the click… but your listing gets the sale. A+ Content helps you: - Build trust with your reader - Visually explain what your book is about - Highlight benefits (not just features) - Make your listing look more professional And the best part? You can create it using simple tools like Canva. 🎥 I just dropped a video breaking down exactly how to create A+ Content step-by-step so you can go implement this TODAY. If you already have books published, go check your bookshelf after watching and ask yourself: “Am I leaving money on the table?” Watch the video and let me know if you’re adding A+ Content to your books 👇
