New here + outside the US (Virtual Wholesaling) - Quick sanaity check on calling setup + my first action steps
Hey everyone — I’m brand new to wholesaling. I finished all the classroom modules and I’m shifting into execution. Because I’m calling from South Africa, I want to sanity-check the best calling setup with people who are actually doing this from outside the US. Goal for today (Jan 9): lock my calling infrastructure + get XLeads before v4 price changes. 1) Calling setup options (outside the US) Option A (seems best / most “real” for international): use a paid business VoIP/dialler that gives a US number and works globally (e.g. Aircall / OpenPhone-type setup). - Aircall states you can purchase numbers in many locations (subject to regulations). - CallRail has “international call tracking” but looks limited in country coverage, so I’m not sure it’s ideal as my main dialler. Option B (temporary): Google Voice activated by a US friend / US number first, then used from abroad — but I’ve heard it can be restricted for people outside the US and requires US verification. Option C (avoid): sketchy/burner VOIP apps (deliverability issues). ✅ Question for the group: If you’re outside the US, what’s the cleanest setup that actually works long-term for cold calling sellers? What do you recommend and why? 2) My action steps starting today - Buy XLeads now (before v4 release/price change) - Pick ONE US market for 30 days (no switching) - Pull ONE simple list (vacant or high equity) - Start daily call reps as soon as the phone setup is live Also: do I need to think about A2P at this stage, or is that only once I’m texting at scale? Appreciate any guidance from those who’ve done this internationally.
