The ‘Recipe’ for Creating Viral Artwork 🔥
It’s all in your vulnerability and authenticity. ( even if the art is super sketchy and NOT polished/finished) These are the HARDEST things to post about, because it puts our hearts out there for all to see ( and judge?!) And it’s not always going to ‘work’, per se, But when it does, it REALLY does. I posted one of the sketches from our Inktober challenge ( the ‘draw your demons’ day) on IG and it really hit a nerve with people. And it wasn’t about the volume of likes, which wasn’t even that high….it was the amount of saves, shares, comments and reposts. ( see the analytics attached) AND!!….70% of the almost 9000 views were NON-FOLLOWERS.This meant the algorithm caught on and started showing it to people outside of my current audience. This has happened many times before on my art journey, and here’s the ‘recipe’: WRITE your heart ON your art❤️🔥 Yup, actually WRITING your vulnerable, true and authentic thoughts and struggles on your drawings Not as a description under your art. ON YOUR ART. Many artists don’t want to write on their drawings, I get it. I don’t always do it….but when I do, the audience responds and resonates a bit more ( or A LOT more) than just a ‘regular’ art post. Hopefully this gives you some insight and maybe something to think about moving forward with your art ;)🙏🏽❤️🔥
