Day 9 - Zodiac Challenge - The EVOLVED version ✨💫
*** The next four days are optional! If you want to continue refining your main drawing, keep going!*** Today can be a written thought experiment, or you can find and upload a photo that represents your signs' EVOLVED version. Of course, you can sketch it too;) Some questions to ask yourself about the evolved version of your sign: • What does your sign look like when it is fully in its power? • What has it learned from its shadow? • What part of it has healed? • What does it protect now, with wisdom instead of fear? • What part of you is trying to emerge through this form?

Day 8 - Zodiac Challenge - Draw the Shadow Version 💀
*** The next five days are optional! If you want to continue refining your main drawing, keep going!*** Today can be a written thought experiment, or you can find and upload a photo that represents your shadow version. Some questions to ask yourself about the shadow version of your sign: - What does your creature look like when it is ruled by fear? - What part of its power has become twisted? - What side of yourself is hiding inside this shadow version? For mine, I imagined an ANGRY wolf that disrupts the balance of its world through anger, control, fear. This would cause the fish to react negatively and 'exit the harmonious flow' while the whole thing leads to chaos!

@Blu Smith great shadow exploration, getting peacock 'vanity vibes' here as well! 😄
Day 6 - Zodiac Art Challenge - WRITE! ✍️
A big part of making art is DESCRIBING things on the mental, written level. Define IN WRITING what your sign wants, or fears, or protects....( or ALL 3!) Remember, this is getting into the 'psyche' of the sign, this is a NEW ENTITY that has evolved to help you in 'REAL LIFE.' For example, my dragon-wolf and his fish friends are ALL ABOUT PLAY & EXPLORATION! They fear NOTHING! ( except the fear of not having a good time LOL) And so, they 'protect their PLAY'! Because personally, I've lost that sense of play for a while now. So THEY embody this, to remind me to PLAY more. What is your NEW SIGN asking of you? WRITE THAT OUT. And in the process, this will help you embody that more....AND...will help with the actual art and design moving forward;) 💜🎉💥🎨

Day 7 - Zodiac Art Challenge - Symbolic Details ♈️♋️♓️
Adding symbols to our art. These could be the more common Western/Chinese symbols and logos, or star constellation patterns. Diving deeper you can search your Mayan and Aztec signs and add those symbols...and deeper still, adding elements of your natal chart! There's also sacred geometry that resonates with you...or you can just add YOUR OWN SYMBOLS that you've already created. Have fun and play with it! There are no rules here! Make it look how you want it to look 🔥🙌🎨

Art Tip - Lose Saturation ➡️ Gain Clarity
Things can get very distracting and confusing in your art, especially when there’s lots of colors happening🌈❤️💚💜💛 This is where DESATURATION is very helpful! When you remove the color in your art, you see pure VALUES ( blacks, whites, and greys) This is useful when you want to only see the pure design without the distraction of color. You can see how effective this technique is in the attached images. This can be done on your phone, Photoshop, or Canva. ( look for the ‘saturation’ sliders in any app) Try it out and post some of your examples!
