🎮 Age-Leveling Theory
🎮 What Is the Age-Leveling Theory? Most people view age through pressure: “By this age, I should have more… be further… be better.” That mindset creates comparison, frustration, and burnout. The Age-Leveling Theory flips that. Instead of measuring your life against a timeline, you measure it by growth. Every year = a level gained. Not just time passing, but skills developed, lessons learned, and resilience built. Just like in a game, higher levels don’t mean life gets easier; they mean you’re better equipped to handle what comes next. 💡 Key shift: Stop asking, “Am I where I should be?”Start asking, “How have I grown this year?” Reflection: 👉 What skill, mindset, or lesson have you leveled up in recently? Drop it below. Let’s learn from each other. 🔥 https://youtube.com/shorts/ChdSlhFIHto?si=zO8vXQEntWAPVncY

One way I leveled up from last year was I decided to overcome my fear of writing a book. I upgraded my written communication and learned how to not write how I talk 😂. I second guessed my decision every day for at least the first 3 months and now it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made.

I love this and the earlier people learn, always the better.
Intro:
Great to be a part of the community and I look forward to learning from such a dynamic group from around the world. I operated a Chick-fil-A for 25 years and now work in consulting and ministry. I had the honor of moderating and hosting the Middle Ga Live2Leads this season with Axis Leadership. Like many of you I am product of Joes leadership influence!

TED Talk Tuesday: "Try Something New for 30 Days" - Matt Cutts
Hey Leaders, Have you ever said, “I’ve always wanted to do that…” — but never actually did it? In this week's powerful TED Talk Tuesday, Matt Cutts challenges us with a simple but life-changing idea: Try something new for 30 days. Try Something New for 30 Days | Matt Cutts Here’s what stands out: The next 30 days are going to pass whether you take action or not… so why not use that time to grow? Cutts reminds us that transformation doesn’t require massive, overwhelming change. In fact, small, consistent actions are what create lasting impact. At Axis Leadership, we believe growth starts with intentional decisions—daily disciplines that shape who you become. Want to become a better leader? Start with one new habit for the next 30 days: - Read 10 minutes a day - Practice active listening - Speak life into your team - Reflect before you react Leadership isn’t built in a moment… it’s built in consistent moments. So here’s my question for you: What will you commit to for the next 30 days? Remember—Better People, Better World. - Dr. Joe

Great video, and maintaining a habit for 30 days requires discipline, which probably leads to why it changes something. I really like this take and approach.

I couldn't agree more. I would also argue that you'll see a vast difference for those leaders who have experienced failure and those who have not. From my experience it's clear as day. How about you?

@Joseph Richardson Nope, your spot on. Personally, I share my failures with my team and it instantly builds credibility because I can understand their highs and lows because I were in those same shoes. Now that you mention it, I'm surprised how often I've noticed people doing that. Great observation and point.

Most leaders don’t lack confidence, they lack clarity. I help them fix both and lead out loud. Built from real-world leadership, not theory.
