💛 Can I ask you a small favour?
If you’ve enjoyed being part of this community, I’d love to hear about your experience. I’m working on making this community sustainable so it can continue to grow, host challenges, and create an inspiring place for artists. Hearing from you would help more than you know. 🙂 If you’d like to help, could you answer one or more of these questions? ✹ What made you join this community? ✹ What do you enjoy most? ✹ Has it inspired or motivated you to create more? ✹ Have you learned something new here? ✹ How would you describe this community to another artist? ✹ Would you recommend it to a friend? Why? You don’t have to answer every question—a few sentences are more than enough. With your permission, I’d love to use some of your words as testimonials on the community page so new members can see what it’s really like here. Thank you so much for being part of this little creative corner. It genuinely wouldn’t be the same without all of you. ❀

Help Each Other by Engaging on Instagram
Hi there! 😊 As an artist with a small Instagram account, I’ve found it really lovely to have a group of supportive and engaging followers. I’ve even noticed that strangers, mostly other artists, sometimes cheer louder than friends and family đŸ€Ș Personally, my goal right now isn’t to grow a huge following (my profile has actually been private for a while), but I do really enjoy meaningful engagement and supporting others as well 😊 That’s why I’d love to invite you to drop your Instagram (name or link) below so we can follow each other, engage, and support one another 😊🙌 Mine is https://www.instagram.com/lizaglorius.art?igsh=MW5qZWk4eG1xNDlxNA%3D%3D&utm_source=qr

🎹 July Challenge: 30 Brush Strokes
(Please put the paintings you make in 30 brush strokes under this post. ❀) Ready to loosen up, paint more confidently, and stop overthinking every brushstroke? Welcome to the 30 Brush Strokes Challenge! For the next 30 days, you’ll create small paintings using no more than 30 brush strokes. That’s it. No perfect paintings. No endless tweaking. No pressure. Just 30 intentional marks. Why this challenge? Many artists improve by painting more. But you’ll often improve even faster by painting with limitations. When you only have 30 brush strokes, you can’t overwork your painting. You learn to: - paint with confidence instead of hesitation - simplify what you see - make stronger decisions - let go of perfectionism - trust your instincts - finish what you start You’ll probably be surprised by how much your paintings improve after just a few weeks. The rules đŸ–Œïž Maximum 30 brush strokes per painting. 📏 Keep it small (A6, A5, postcard size
whatever feels easy.) ⏱ Spend around 5–15 minutes on each painting. 🎹 Use any medium you like. 📾 Share your paintings in the group whenever you’d like. Need ideas? Paint whatever inspires you! For example: - fruit - flowers - birds - pets - landscapes - your morning coffee - your favorite mug - vegetables - mushrooms - trees - people - houses - clouds - seashells - a toy - your paint brushes - something from your garden - something completely from your imagination Missed a day? No worries. This isn’t about having a perfect streak. Life happens. Skip a day if you need to, then simply continue the next day. Progress is built over time—not by being perfect. One more thing
This is not a competition. There are no winners. No prizes. No judging. The only person you’re challenging is yourself. At the end of the month, you’ll have a collection of small paintings that show your growth—and that’s the real reward. Who’s joining? 🎉 For inspiration a link: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaQo8uaRsYW/

For me, that means it has to be tiny, because my line art thrives on lots of lines 😂
Drop your finished or unfinished work. We’ll be real with you.

@Olivier Van Biervliet That's exactly what I thought. The blue would go perfectly with the brown đŸ‘đŸ»

@Bine Ehrig wow đŸ€© Very cool Art. I like it so mutch! If you'd like to make any more changes: I'd add even more depth to the background in the first one, similar to the middle one with the shadow. In the third one, it looks like there are flames around the girl. Is that what you intended? If not, I'd blend the orange area a bit more with the green so it blends in better. Keep it up! Great work đŸ™ŒđŸ»
🎹 Artist Success Research Project
I’ve been wondering something
Why do some artists consistently sell their work online while others—equally talented—struggle to make sales? Instead of guessing, I’d love for us to investigate this together. The Challenge Find one or more artist who appears to be selling successfully online and share your findings below. It can be any artist: - Emerging artist - Full-time professional - Daily painter - Abstract artist - Realist artist - Digital artist - Print seller - Commission artist The goal is not to copy them. The goal is to understand:What are they doing that works? Questions to Research 1. Who is the artist? Share their website, Instagram, Etsy, Daily Paintworks, or wherever they sell. 2. What kind of art do they make? - Style - Subject matter - Medium - Price range 3. Where are they selling? - Website - Etsy - Daily Paintworks - Shopify - Galleries - Art fairs - Instagram - Other platforms 4. What seems to attract buyers? Examples: - Strong storytelling - Unique style - Consistent posting - Emotional connection - Affordable prices - High-end luxury branding - Limited editions - Commissions 5. How often do they post? - Daily? - Weekly? - Several times a day? 6. What type of content do they share? - Finished artwork - Work in progress - Studio life - Tutorials - Personal stories - Time-lapses - Collector photos - Other
 7. What can we learn from them? This is the most important question. What is one thing you think contributes to their success? For those who enjoy digging deeper: - How many followers do they have? - Do they have an email list? - Do they sell originals, prints, or both? - Do they use scarcity (“only one available”)? - Do they tell the story behind each piece? - Are they targeting collectors or casual buyers? - What emotions are they selling? Our Goal By the end of this project, we’ll hopefully identify patterns. Or maybe we’ll discover something completely unexpected.

I picked just one of the successful artists I‘m following on Instagram @byjessicaelena She has more than 86,9 thousand followers. I‘m not sure what her secret is. I suppose it is her confidance. She says her art is silly and in my opinion this is the clue: she knows her audience and makes art for people who love playful and colorful (silly) art with flowers.
