Tired of being dismissed and told I’m normal.
Hello. I’m 49 and a mother of 1 adult daughter. I haven’t been feeling myself for many years now and every time I questioned my hormones I was told either we can’t test for that or your labs are normal. Even being referred to endocrinology, I was told that labs would not be accurate due to my birth control and medication’s that I took for my migraines. I need real answers from someone who will listen and can help a person on disability.

Mirena and perimenopause
How can u tell if you're officially having "wonky" periods bc of perimenopause when u have an IUD. When I changed mine out about 8 months ago I was still having a light period every 28 days, but ever since this new one my period has shown up twice in 8 months.

I am interested in the same. I was having regular periods with the IUD and acne and I was tired and brain foggy. OB/GYN recommended changing out the IUD since it was closer to the time to be changed anyway. She checked my iron, which was very low and she did an FSH and an estradiol. She told me that my iron was probably the problem and that I was in perimenopause and they really didn’t do anything unless I was having symptoms like hot flashes and trouble some things like that. Once the IUD was changed things alleviated a little so me being ignorant, I thought it was better. Approximately a year later, things got worse very quickly, and I was having breakthrough bleeding again. The fatigue got worse. The acne came back with a vengeance. Those were blamed on chronic migraines, stress the new diagnosis of diabetes. The doctor I spoke to from Integrated medicine and also the nurse from my OB/GYN both told me I needed to get in to be seen because I was having irregular bleeding. completely ignoring all the other symptoms. I have had to educate myself and finding Kaylyn on social media has helped me tremendously! There are so many questions that I still have though. How could I have known sooner is something I am curious about.
